I have been reading/watching reviews while shopping for a new battery mod and have come across more than a few that say things like, "this thing hits like a beast". :?: No it doesn't. That thing is a battery case. As long as it makes a solid electrical connection and doesn't cause significant voltage drop, it's not a deciding factor in how hard my pv will hit. Reminds me of everyone that thought they played better basketball when they were wearing Air Jordans vs any other similar shoe.

What other things in the vaping world have really bugged you people?

That's not really true though ... different "battery cases" do "hit" differently depending on what materials are used for the contacts, and body construction, which directly affects the level of conductivity between the battery case, battery used, and the topper they are attached to. So yeah, some battery cases do hit hard, while some others do not. Different metals have different conductivity levels, with stainless steel being the lowest (7% conductive), and copper being the highest (100% conductive), with brass and aluminum rated in between these two.

My Caravela with all brass top and bottom caps and contacts hits way harder than my other mechs that simply have a brass contact pin surrounded by a stainless steel cap, to the point that I do not like to use a fresh battery with it because its too much .. the difference is undeniable. All battery cases are not created equal, even as they were all created to do the same thing.

I understand that conductivity can make a big difference when your atty, coil, etc.. are the same. I have swapped back and forth between my Stingray and my Magneto and experience a significant difference when everything else is the same. However, this can be compensated for in the build in most cases. If someone is running extreme setups the difference is much more functional.

Why do the Last Two get you Peeved?
2) In my mind it seems strange that a person who is trying to quit vaping (or has already quit) would hang out on a website whose purpose is basically to promote vaping. If you have determined vaping to be an undesirable activity, fine, but as a person who enjoys and benefits from vaping, it just seems odd.
3) This is really a parenting issue more than a vaping issue. Trying to hide your daily activities from your kids is futile. They KNOW what you're doing, and seeing you sneak around leads to a loss of respect and perhaps a belief that sneaking around is an ok thing to do. It just pains me to know that some parents think they are putting something over on their kids.

Can't say that I disagree, as I have thought the same thing, in fact, I am about to experiment with this theory right now .. going to lower the resistance on one of my builds for use on one of my mechs to see if I can replicate the "performance" I get with my Caravela. :)

You got a Caravela? Nice! One of the original "OMG I've got to have that" mods. I've only ever seen 3 in person.

Lol ... its an EHpro clone, not the original, but a bangin clone, thicker ss tubes and almost 2x the weight of the original (I'm a weight junkie :p) .. but I agree, the Caravela was the first mech EVER to make me go "oooh I want that".

I can justify the clone with the fact that there is not a chance of me getting an original because they are not being produced right now, and I will not pay anyone $1000 bucks for a used metal tube, I don't care who's name is on it!

I hate walking into a vapor store when there is younger people as the staff, they immediatel pull out their amazing PV's builds and try to call me out on my provari, then they act like they know it all when they're a bunch of snobby [moderated] who think they're too cool for school and suck at talking to people. They treat the damn shop like its a tattoo parlor, fool...this is a retail shop for PV and PV supplies..stick a mech mod in it

You should censor yourself on the drug reference... the mods frown on it and you will get edited by them. Just sayin' and no offense:vapor:

Not my experience at all. I enjoy talking with the young people in my local B&Ms and they are very helpful/friendly. And your "black people" quote was totally inappropriate...

I am a noob at this and have a ton of questions, some would be considered stupid by people who have been doing this for a while but hey...Im new and just do not know.

We cant rely on what info is out there because there are so many contradictory posts on any one topic.

It has not happened a single time on ECF, and thats why I am still here...

Take it easy on us noobs...we are still learning...and remember, you were a noob once too.

My biggest pet peeeves is ....... (Oh god i will opend the pandora box)

Provari FANBOYS, everytime some1 ask for a cheap mod suggestion people start recomending some good cheap and always start jumping this FANBOYS and will kill you if you dont agree to buy a provari, he ask for a cheap mod,,,,, can you understand that..

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Biggest Pet Peeve...being a ProVari owner and loving it yet being called a fanboy. Last time I checked, I am a girl. Being called a Fangirl would be nice ;) cuz yes, Im a girl, I'm a fan of my Provari and damn proud of it.

But I don't think pushing a mod of any kind on a noob is good nor is rebuilding, a mech, sub ohms or any of the other advanced vaping gear that I have seen pushed beyond a ProVari. I guess peeps target in on seeing ProVaris in the noob threads and not all the other stuff I see all the time that's suggested.

Another pet peeve....juices that take way too long to steep. I don't have the patience to wait over 4 weeks for steeping.
