Pet Peeves...

Some video related pet peeves have been mentioned here, but specifically I would say those i.e. setup 'reviewers' who show all the parts ready to be settled, and in the next shot it's already done, like magic (they miss nothing less than the real action!)

Or those vids where, in the middle of the desired and expected 'action' (when you really need to see exactly what is going on), the prep (j/k) trying to help, just move his hands and suddenly all becomes a big blur...

The little pieces of skin that stick to the drip tip and anything else your lips transfer to the drip tip.

EEEuuuu... glad I don't have that!!!

But last night, I *did* notice how cold that stainless was.... both my plastic-tipped T3S's had one problem or another, so I went to the ARO, which vapes like a dream, but yeah, that stainless tip *is* cold! Glad I'm back to the T3S today!!!

I prefer stainless or aluminum drip tips. I think they are more prone to accumulation of lip schmutz. I keep mine clean, so I don't get the lip schmutz thing.

Yeah I was just thinking, I always clean the tip inside and out when I refill, because it's prone to dripping out the tip, and I sure don't want ejuice in my mouth. Got some the other day when I overfilled my eRoll, it was spitting and sputtering and I got the worst taste... had to be the juice. I was rinsing and spitting for half an hour!

When I order something that looks like it may be perfect for what I want, then bad reviews come pouring in after the fact, and I am left looking :glare: at my new equipment waiting for it to screw up.

Yeah I feel that way about both my T3S's and my ARO... I had already bought a T3S at a local B&M, and then I read a bunch of reports of it leaking; that one didn't, so I count my blessings. The 2nd one I bought, however, there is definitely a problem with one of the rubber gaskets on the base, the small one near where the coil screws in; if I use that base, then either tank will leak. If I use the base from the original T3S, in either tank, no leaks. So i guess I could fix the problem just by buying a replacemnt base for it. Also read a bunch of reports about the ARO leaking, AFTER I had already ordered it. But mine doesn't seem to leak, that I've seen, so I'll count my blessings.

As stated, videos by "amateurs" where it is as if the idea of "hey I'm gonna make a video" just popped into their mind and they ran right to the computer without collecting anything necessary.
.

Lol i did this once. I forgot to grab the cigalike i bought years ago for the video, however i did edit out the two minutes it took to find it

I saw a video juice review in which the conclusion (hard won... took him a bit of rambling to get there) was "It's a nice vape. Can't really think of any words to describe it".

Not everyone is cut out to be a video reviewer. And even if you are, you don't have to 'review' everything you look at, whether you have anything to say about it or not.

I was going back over the earlier posts in this thread, and now that I've been doing this for a bit over a month, I can soooooo relate to this one, and not just for video reviews, either -- the point of a review is to tell OTHERS what it tastes like, NOT how much you like or hate it. That bugs the very living spit out of me, "this is nasty". Period. No reason why it's nasty, or what it's like. Or the reverse, "oooh I love this!!!" But, WHY do you love it??? I read or watch reviews to learn about the subject of the review, NOT the subjective tastes of the reviewers!

Along the same lines are the reviews, either video or written, in which the reviewed e-liquid is compared to other liquids which the reader/viewer may or may not have tasted. Granted, it's difficult to describe tastes and smells with mere words, but TRY. Comparing something to something else is ONLY useful if the viewer/reader is familiar with those other flavors, and assuming the viewer/reader has tried every one that the reviewer has is just plain arrogant, and not helpful in the least.

Juice reviews, where you see the reviewer open the package the samples were mailed in, they look at the business cards that were sent, nod, comment on the bottles the juice came in, load up a dripper, and talk about how awful the flavor is, apparently, without steeping it first! If they are trying flavors straight out of the mail, they should at least acknowledge that. I know, some of the flavors I adore from my regular vendor makes me recoil, sometimes nauseates me before steeping. A little time, a little air, and HEAVEN!!!

Sent from my bird in a moist little package :p

Another Pet Peeve: When a new member is just breaking away from the new member forum and dares to make an opinion on a topic and someone jumps on him/her! That just ticks me off! Especially if the opinion was asked for by the OP and it's a legitimate, sincere opinion. GGRRRR! Curse-swear-curse-mouth-smiley-emoticon-000661-medium.gif

Its not really a pet peeve nor even vaping related but I'm going to vent here anyways. I HATE the coffee machine in this house, i don't drink coffee but everybody else does and every time somebody wants a cup, which is a lot, it makes this godawful LOUD grinding noise. I've been contemplating on how to destroy it without taking the blame for a while and I'm really warming up to setting the house on fire.

Say you'll buy a new one if they let you kill the old one.:D

or toss it and say it was stolen:evil: just kidding.

Just tell them the government decided coffee was so hazardous, they had to impose a 75% tax on it, for their own good. ;)

Here's my vaping pet peeve for today: Myfreedomsmokes RAN OUT of the only ejuice I truly love. I eked and squeaked by with what I had, but day before yesterday, late in the day, I sent them an email asking if they had ANY idea when it would be back in stock. I didn't expect a reply that day, it was nearly 5pm. But yesterday, I didn't hear from them either. Finally, about 1pm, I knew I had to place an order or I was surely going to run out of what little I still have -- so I had to place an order for the VG version of the ejuice I love. Now, this morning, I get an email from them, saying, it'll be in stock today, check back later.

    angry.jpg

I responded that since I had not heard anything from them all day yesterday, I had to spend what little money we had to order 10ml of the VG Virginia yesterday, just so I wouldn't run out of ANYTHING to vape, so I hoped they STILL had it in stock on Friday when my husband gets paid.

Yeah, I'm peeved, with people who take well over 24 hrs to reply to a BUSINESS email.

Another pet peeve. You've bought a 15 ml bottle of juice at your local B&M that you've really come to love. You return and buy a 30 ml bottle of the same only to find that it's drastically changed from what was you bought before.

Worse yet, no one can tell you what's different and somehow it become YOUR fault.
