This is a video of Dizzy (one of my gliders) playing Spin the Human with my son, David. You might want to ignore the weird lady cackling like a loon. Dave is single BTW ladies (and three years older now) - lol.

How cute!! Poor little gut....LOL You have a good looking son......to bad my daughter has a steady BF :D

Rave, both David and the glider are cute!

Fudgey, Fred's vocabulary is quite extensive. It's amazing, really, and he speaks in context as well. My hubby jokingly says that we would enroll him in Kindergarten, but he's smarter than most of the children!!!LOL! Ken didn't want me to have pets at all, as we are retired, and it tends to be bit of a hassle sometimes. I didn't really intend to get Fred. I answered an ad, went to meet him, fully expecting to be afraid of him. He flew to my shoulder, and said..."Hello, How are you?" That's when I took out my wallet!
I have eight birds now. Most of them needed homes, and are smaller than Fred. I am finished now though...I have to admit I don't have time for more.

I didn't realize that they speak in context! 'Course, it figures. Parrots are mega-intelligent. If it weren't for the shrill whistles, I'd love to have one again. Loud, shrill sounds drive me buggy. Found that out with a pair of rainbow lorikeets. They were gorgeous, but killer if you have a migraine. Anyhow, Fred is adorable!

Sharon, that's a beautiful bird. I never knew much about domesticated birds, but I once saw someone with macaws and large parrots that loved to be held, petted and scratched. I knew they were intelligent but had no idea how affectionate they could be.

rave, also a beautiful little creature! It looks so soft.
Very, very soft - like chinchilla fur. But Dizzy, like the rest of his colony, really doesn't like to be petted. No fair!

Here is my boy bubba.
bubba.jpg

He is 4 and a half years old and is crazy. He has always been insecure and widdles himself when things get confused! He also caught his underside on some barbed wire when he was about 1 and a half and nearly "bobbited" himself. 3 days in tge vets and they managed to sew the end 2 inches back on but as a result he pees slightly round the corner now, bless him!
I'll try and dig out a photo of him with my mums dog for you Mary Kay. She is a beautiful White shepherd :)

Thanks, he is so pretty most people think he is a girl! And yes he is as soft as he looks, he is also soft in the head too, bless him. I got him from a farm, thinking that he would probably be quite clever. It was only when I quizzed the breeder she told me that she had 5 "working" collies. The problem was only 1 had any working instinct-the other 4 just used to sit around and watch, lol! If he wasn't so insecure he would be a really "good" dog as he picks things up really well, but as soon as you ask him to do anything he is just so pleases to be asked that he collapses in a heap shooting yellow erm spray out everywhere, so we try not to overly stress him or ask too much:) He is my best friend though and really that is all we can ask of our pets.
