So i went today in hunt of PG or good VG

The best PG price i can find is 500ml (half a liter) for 100$. Thats right.

So then i shifted to the glycerin as when i kept saying VG no one knew what i was talking about. if i say glycerin by itself they recognize it. they keep asking me whether i want the glycerin made for labs or trade use. whatever that means.

anyways i picked up this bottle of Glycerol for $8 dollars.

is it usable?
Whats the "Assay: 99%"? mean ...

(This is in Iraq)

lab grade would be a "cleaner" version than "trade"... 99% pure is about as close as one can get to USP type( pharma grade)...
for PG, did you check out places that have supplies for large animals?? ( Horses etc)...

ata just looked at the picture in large mode... what you have is lab grade, very clean stuff..

99% pure Lab grade?? impurities?? think again...

what you have is cleaner than USP... no problem using it.

That would be fair if we knew exactly what this was, but I'm not sure it's vegetable glycerine. Glycerol could be any number of sugar alcohols. Especially the chemical formula on the label.

Yep, I saw that. There are many names for it, that one is correct and what a chemist would call it. It is also on the low end of reagent purity which is higher than USP.

So I'd pick that one. You're free to pick anything you'd like. I'm pickier than most and have been doing this so long.... well long enough...jeeze, just started counting the years I've been mixing and realize I've been through 5 jobs in that timeframe ...sheesh!

(BTW: the "ol" at the end of the name means it is an alcohol.)
