Even tho I'm a newb I try to induce relatives, friends, even total strangers who smoke analogs to convert to the vaping religion. Two consistent ghosts of denial are presented by smokers which are battery failure and 'popcorn lung'. I'm aware of the causes of battery failure, but can anyone point me to any studies on the long term effects of glycol inhalation? I'm too old to be paranoid about 'long term effects', just need some rebuttal. Thanks for what you do.

Popcorn lung has nothing to do with PG or VG.

There will be no information on the internet about this. You have nothing to 'defend'..

What you need are studies looking at flavor inhalation. Inhaling Diacetyl etc.
There are hundreds of comments, the majority of which say cigarettes are infinitely worse than vaping liquids with Diacetyl in.

Look around. There are no long term studies concerning inhalation of PG/VG. We will have to wait 'long term' for those to happen.

@miteret good link from 'certifiable' this site comes up in French and altho I can read it, it's more relaxed in English. go right down to the bottom/left of the page and find a red banner 'translate' which gives you a choice of country flags.
Like you? I'm ancient and not the slightest bit concerned with vaping effects compared with my ex-smoking habit of 55yrs !
Good luck with your progress. :toast:

Didn't I read somewhere that there was 10 times more diacetyl (or some big number) in cigarettes as there are in diacetyl-containing e-liquid? And if that's true, and we've been smoking for 40 or 50 years (some of us, anyway) wouldn't we have already gotten "popcorn lung?" I don't think there's any danger of that from vaping, at least not from the diacetyl, but most companies have eliminated it from their flavor formulations anyway.

I'm ancient too, but only 51 years or so. My favorite quote:
"It's funny, we're all concerned if flavors have anything bad in them and yet we smoked for years knowing it was all bad. I'm going to be ...... if I get hit by a bus. My last thought is going to be "But God, I only vaped the good flavors"."
