Hi, I've been using e-cigs for a while now and have gathered some very basic knowledge of DIY mixing and the hardware but I have never really been able to get to grips with the benefits/drawbacks of VG or PG mixes and hopeing that I can get some confirmation of some of the "advice" given on the net:

1.Is VG really less bad for you than PG?
2.What are the flavour benefits, if any, of one over the other?
3.Do VG and PG have different effects on atomizer life?

1. No. Some people have some degree of intolerance to PG. PG is not bad for you. It's used in thousands of common food and medical products.

2. PG is a better flavor carrier. Some find PG harsher than VG. VG "smooths out" the flavor and the nicotine throat hit. VG is sweeter.

3. Marginally, in the typical proportions. 100% VG, if not thinned, can clog cartomizers faster and gunk up atomizers quicker, necessitating more frequent cleaning.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ecf-library/177551-pg-vg-peg.html <- there's a link to the ecf library on pg and vg and also peg to boost your knowledge :D

If anything pg would be "better" for you because it's a germacide but vg is not. Vg is also toxic at high temperatures. At what temperature exactly I don't remember but I don't think we hit it with vaping gear.
