Cobra Pics (excuse to post some vape porn)

I need a matching Cobra (awaiting Phiniac Anodization) and a new tank. The Red Kokopeli goes with my Satin Black.

Cobra wick hole is 3/32". You can't stuff a 1/8" stone into a 3/32" hole, LOL
I'm not going to drill into a $150 titanium atty to accommodate a skinny stone, when SS mesh works just fine. :)

No way am I going to drill out the wick hole either. I did one of my top caps. But that's it. I MAY do the other top cap. But I'm not touching the wick hole. :)

I just got mine in the mail today. I can't wait to have the time to wire this baby up. Pretty small unit. My big hands and old eyes will have quite the chore.

Great device. Enjoy! I have some of the biggest hands going. And the eye sight isn't what it used to be. Believe me it's not bad. You get used to it. :)

Reposting this as I was trying to gather my notes for the o-ring sizes:

Top cap: 10.6mm (ID) x 1.8mm thick
Cobra glass: 11mm(ID) x 2mm thick.
Siam Glass: 11.11mm(ID) x 1.78mm thick - Also known as BS806 (O-rings for siam pyrex tubes or stainless steel tubes)

Collected from info provided by Moorea earlier from conversation with maker via skype, and information gathered from primary seller's replacement o-ring kit specs. Size of BS806 was obtained and verified via two separate sources.

Well... did a full breakdown cleaning of the cobras this weekend and I lost the feather tank. :(

Dang tank would not come off and eventually cracked. The o-rings swelled under a particular juice I was using - Burmani.

So off to order some spares today and what is this I find...

NOOOOOOOO! You are out of tanks.

I'll be ordering as soon as they come in. Got to order a few backups too. Luckily, I still had the original tank, but worried about loosing that one down the road - kinda saving it as a collector's piece.

I tried the other sized o-rings with the glass (11.11mm(ID) x 1.78mm thick - Also known as BS806 ), but it wouldn't seal up well enough and air would go past everytime I took a draw/minor amount of juice leakage.

Maybe time to find a 11mm(ID) x 1.9mm thick o-ring.

Edit: Just a testament to Phiniac's original glass tanks. They made em to last, I've yet to break one, even when dropping it from 5 feet up onto concrete more than once -- and it was one with glass decorations on the outside which hit square on the concrete seam.

Too bad Phiniac is not allowed to re-design the glass using their manufacturing specs for the cobra. I would so buy them.

Notice how every other RBA tank out there breaks, and breaks often and usually when being removed for cleaning. *sigh*

If the tank you broke was the original tank that came with the Cobra then I'm not surprised it broke but you must have very strong hands. If you can break a Phiniac tank on your Chobra I'll eat it. :p

Yeah, Siam only allows Phiniac to use their glass tanks on the Cobra. It was a custom blasted tank by Phiniac, but Siam's glass.

If I could get a Phiniac glass tank on the cobra, I would. If I could break it, I'd eat it too. :p

You can get a Phiniac glass tank for your Cobra or maybe you already knew that.

Actually you can't. The makers of the Cobra forbid it. The glass Moorea uses to create the Phiniac tanks (blasting, etc..) starts out as blank Siam glass.

I could have sworn that you could replace the tank with a Phiniac but I've been wrong once before. I'm sure Moo will come along and straighten me out. :w00t:

You are currently incorrect. However there is a project in the works for a genesis atty that fits inside the cobra glass.

I hope Moo don't kill me for dropping this too soon.
