Japan to NoVA
Well you are close, but I think you need to start saying you have been wrong 2 and Half times.

The ViVi Novas will not be glass, we simply do not have the time to make threaded glass. But they will not be the plastic tanks either, or not completely. They will be metal sleeves that go over the plastic. We will be supplying both the sleeves in various designs and the plastic tank that goes underneath the sleeve.

We will only have the 3.5's to start, but are hoping to get the 2.5's as well. I have been told by my supplier these will work with all the different versions and possibly even the knock off's. But in order to make sure it works with past version you have to have the plastic tube that comes with it which is why we are supplying that with every order.

Bummer, I love glass tanks. I understand completely though on threading the glass.

Tank capacity!

Oh good. I just got a v2.5 and was afraid I screwed up. I've heard rumors that there is a v3.0 but I haven't found it. I only bought this tank because of you are going to be able to pretty them up. I tried the first version and it sucked so I wasn't going to buy another until you said...well you know what you said. :p

That was a rumor you heard from me and it is not a rumor. Healthcabin has it here:

Thanks for the link. It's cheaper than I paid but with shipping it will probably be more. I'd like to try it though.

I have a few ViVI Novas coming with the tanks for photographing and stuff. I do not know what version they are but if they are the latest ones I will send one your way once we have photographed it!

Thanks Jen. I should be able to tell what version by comparing it to the one I have.

Edit: Ok, V3.0. That's cool. Now I can compare the 2 and see if V3 is better. :)

So my blue tank came in today for the cobra, very excited. Actually was a little worried, only quickly opened and looked at it before I had to leave and it looked small like it wouldn't fit, came home and did a side by side and it works, was just my imagination.

They didn't send orings with it, but I have the o rings from when I bought the cobra. I see they included 2 thinner ones (for the siam's glass) and two thicker ones (I am guessing for replacing for cobra glass) and a much smaller one not sure what it would be for unless it is a replacement for the positive post, but the one on the cobra is white and this one is black.

Wondered if Phiniac would be carrying extra orings one could order, plus any replacement parts that could be needed? Never hurts to stock up.

Well the changing of tanks was actually quite easy. The cobra glass slid off after a few seconds. Popped off the orings, learned the obviously smaller orings are for the top cap section, and learned that the blue glass works on both the original and the extra orings (ones for siam glass.)

I am not sure if this makes a difference but the blue glass tank is straight, the pictures I have seen in some reviews the blue tanks had a rounded part to the upper and lower parts, this is straight just like the cobra tank, but blue.

EDIT: Just added water and it holds, no leaking. Anyone else have the blue tank, is it the same shape of the naked cobra glass or does it have a slight bubble to it?

That's good to know about blue tanks. They did look like they bowed out a little. Man what I could have done with a blue tank. :) but all is great anyway.

Spare parts would be good. I'm kinda .... about having a few spare parts for all my other attys.

Yeah, this one looks exactly like the cobra clear tank. I really love it, but will admit it is hard to see juice level because it is a fairly dark blue. But with it being easy to change glass can switch pretty easy. Now on the hunt for a green one I have seen before, haha.

It is looking like this next batch will not be coming with cobra branded glass, it will be coming with clear cobra glass, no logo.

This means that on the cobra page itself you will be able to add sandblast to your tanks as well as frost colors. When I have added the new options to the cobra page, it might be worth while to visit the page, familiarize yourself with the options so you can quickly choose them and check out. If you do not want a sanblast, phrosty tank or frost color, the default options will be for a 3ml cobra, tank with plain clear cobra glass, so you wont have to waste time choosing options unless you want a 5ml cobra.

I know many people told me they wanted a design on the glass last time but didn't want to waste time going to another page and made a desperate order for glass later. Having the option right on the cobra page should make things faster.

I haven't set up the new options on the cobra page, but I will post when I do.

Moorea, Is there a possibility of the "Cobra Branding" being sandblasted on the clear cobra glass tank?
Or any glass you supply, for that matter, that'd fit the Cobra?
I looked through the selections & didn't see a sandblast option for the Cobra Branding image.
I think that'd be a cool offering, if there's no copyright infringements.
Perhaps clear w/ Black phrost image. :)
