So my blue tank came in today for the cobra, very excited. Actually was a little worried, only quickly opened and looked at it before I had to leave and it looked small like it wouldn't fit, came home and did a side by side and it works, was just my imagination.

They didn't send orings with it, but I have the o rings from when I bought the cobra. I see they included 2 thinner ones (for the siam's glass) and two thicker ones (I am guessing for replacing for cobra glass) and a much smaller one not sure what it would be for unless it is a replacement for the positive post, but the one on the cobra is white and this one is black.

Wondered if Phiniac would be carrying extra orings one could order, plus any replacement parts that could be needed? Never hurts to stock up.

At the moment they are only supplying us with the cobras and an exact amount of extra o-rings for the number of cobras we have ordered. However I will ask them about spare parts and see what they say. If they are willing I am.

Moorea, Is there a possibility of the "Cobra Branding" being sandblasted on the clear cobra glass tank?
Or any glass you supply, for that matter, that'd fit the Cobra?
I looked through the selections & didn't see a sandblast option for the Cobra Branding image.
I think that'd be a cool offering, if there's no copyright infringements.
Perhaps clear w/ Black phrost image. :)

I will have to ask them how they feel about that. I get the feeling they are some what protective of the brand, but if they don't mind us using the design, we will add it to the options!

Love the color, but have to get use to not seeing the juice level as well.

You can see your juice level if you hold it up to a bright light.

Edit: I can also see the juice level by holding it up to my monitor if it has a white background.

I've only seen photos of the Siam cobalt glass. If they are using the same cobalt we are, yes it is difficult to see your juice but like TM said, hold it up to light and you will be able to see it! If they are using a glass that is any darker then ours, even just a little then that might not be an option.

Mine is really dark. It's odd, but the stronger the light the harder it is to see through it. I hold it kinda at an angle to see how much is left.

Holding it to the light does work, it is just a pretty dark blue, looks very nice thought. Would be great if they had other colors as well. I have seen a green online but they are out of stock everywhere. I even checked with one vendor who had them previously and he/she said they did not plan on restocking the green ones. Have they mentioned any other colored glass as options?

That would be great thank you.

Has anyone adjusted the positive post? I was thinking of trying the next time I want to recoil. As it is now no matter where I start to screw on the cobra with the 510 connection it always ends with the wick facing the opposite side of the button, not a big deal but would be nice to hold it and fire with my thumb rather than my pointing finger. This way juice can still travel with gravity as well as capillary action.

The only thing I was told is they will no longer be offering color glass for the time being. They might or might not offer it in the future. The issue is consistency with the color glass. I can tell you first hand when we do a batch of color glass we have a very failure rate and even some of the tubes that pass inspection need the cap machined down in order for it to fit the glass. Siam has the same issues with color glass and failure rates and until they come up with a method that will prevent the high failure rate they are not producing more.

Thank you for the information. That is to bad to hear, did not know the difficulty in the color glass.

Ask them if they have extra top caps, it would be nice to have one with a stock draw and then bore one for an airy draw

I see the cobras are not in stock. Is there a notification option or list? Did a couple searches and came up with jack.. Thanks.

I think Moo said that she would warn us a day or 2 in advance of them being on the website. And I think she said that they would be available around the first week of Dec. but my memory isn't all that great.

When you log in to the site, look at the menu boxes on the left hand side. There is one labeled "Subscribe", where you can choose which newsletters to subscribe to. One of those is for Cobra news and they'll probably send out an email announcing the sale time/date when it gets close, so that would be the one to subscribe to

Your memory is just fine. The notice will go out at least 24 hours before the sale to the newsletter with an exact time and we will post here of course as well. However the first week of December is in 3 days and I haven't heard anything for a couple of days. They took my deposit so it should be very soon.
