Cool, thanks - anyone want to chime in about the anxiety/dizziness? Is this abnormal?

with 1.2% nic, that shouldn't happen in the 5 to 15 watt range.

but if you are vaping in the 20 to 40 watt range, you should lower the nic level.

I'd be worried that you are getting some dryish or burnish vapes and not experienced enough to recognise it.

Dan:

Welcome. I think you may be getting more oxygen now that you have gone seven days without an analogue. Have you ever had an anxiety disorder or panic attack on the tube or in different places -- is this the first time you have ever felt this way? I think if you look at this, you might just be getting more oxygen, or possibly vaping a juice too high in mg strength. What is your mg strength and are you vaping continually?

As for getting the juice on your fingers, just do not fill your cartomizer to the top. Also, this juice is not toxic. You really will be alright. I have spilled it all over the place before, but it has never done any damage. Are you using an atomizer, because I can't stand those anymore because they were too messy for me.

You said that smoking cigarettes made you feel calm? If I smoked a cigarette after all these years, I'd have a nervous collapse. The only thing that calms me down nowadays is electricity...just kidding...;)

Lots of great answers here, especially this one Suzette. Can't reply to everybody so will answer your questions first :)

Yes, I had maybe 2 or 3 panic attacks some years ago. I was in the process of coming off another substance though. I hope the mods won't mind me saying that as it is relevant to my answer.

Being in unusual places is fine, I've travelled a lot, my panic episodes were more to do with stress (like now) - and withdrawal from the aforementioned... but at the time I was much younger.

I'm using 1.2mg juice, about 3ml per day, and yes, several puffs per hour.

Thanks again for your help and interest.

Ok...so I'm vaping at a maximum of 4v with 1.5ohm resistance coils. That's like 10 watts, right?

Dan, I think you are possibly making the biggest change in your health you have ever made -- except the day you became a smoker. Remember how sick you got when you inhaled cigarettes for the first time? I remember having to take a lie down and the room was spinning and I was terribly nauseated. What I can't figure out is why I would keep doing it until I no longer became ill. Don't give up and go back to fags. They suck. I feel like a different human being now. I felt light headed for the first month on and off. Let your body transition and you will be calmer and feel better. Your body will heal. In only three months your lung capacity increases like never before. I used to have the stats memorized, but I believe I am in the stages of early Alzheimer's.

Honestly beautiful advice, don't worry nurse, the cigs are no longer an option. I've a half marathon to train for and a football season ahead. I'm very grateful for your insight.

About the Alzheimer's, I'm sure that wasn't a joke. If you're really concerned, get seen, and feel free to inbox me - I recently said goodbye to my nan after years of watching her suffer. I spent time caring for her, I can offer support and advice any time.

Vaping sometimes makes me dizzy and anxious, and I'm scared getting juice on my skin is going to kill me. Help. :D

If you're getting dizzy and anxious vaping 3 ml of 12 mg/ml, lower your nic strength. Try 10, 8, 6 mg/ml and see how that goes. It's easy. Get some VG (Humco brand at Walmart is fine and inexpensive) a couple of drops of distilled water per ml of VG and mix that with your ejuice.

Getting 12 mg/ml juice on your skin won't kill you. I promise. I've been doing it fairly frequently since 2009 and I'm still here.

Too much anxiety is more dangerous to your health than a drop or two or three of ejuice on your skin. If you're worried, wash your hands afterwards. :)

Not going to die. Got it :)

Hmm, I have some 0% juice, perhaps I'll mix it 50/50 with the 1.2 and see how I get on. Thanks.

Richmond, Va...Right in Altria's back yard.
I've spilled 100mg nic base on my hands before. You'll live..

Just to put that into perspective for you.

100mg nic juice is 10% nicotine by volume. Furthermore, the nicotine is suspended in a solution of VG/PG that slows absorption through the skin.

Just rinse it off and you will be fine.

Your 1.2 percent is just that.......... 1.2% nicotine by volume....alot of us simply refer to this as 12mg

Id try adjusting your nic strength down a tad to 6mg ...or .6% and see how that works for ya.

Dual, does this make a difference?

Hmm, I don't know about the dry vapes. I guess the silica could make me whoozy.

Yes. You're getting half the wattage with dual-coil atties than you'd get with a single coil. They are configured in parallel. So you're at 5 watts, roughly. [Your atty consists of two 3Ω coils].

Highly unlikely that silica wick would make you woozy...

Appreciate the detailed reply, I'm not sure what the poster above meant with his/her concern about dry hits. I take it that's not related to the wattage question?

Regarding Silica by the way, I just meant woozy if I was torching the wick :)

Dry hits are nasty. You can get one at 4 watts and/or at 50 watts if your coil is dry, that is, your wick doesn't supply enough ejuice to the coil to keep it wet at all times. When that happens, your dry coil overheats and you're inhaling hot smoke, basically, because the gunk collected on the coil begins to burn off.... You don't want to do that--ever!

Regarding Silica by the way, I just meant woozy if I was torching the wick :)

You can't burn a silica wick. They are highly flame resistant. But you can burn the aforementioned gunk collected on the wick and coil as described above.
