Especially from china bro, lead central heehe, member even toys where getting recalled from being lead ridden?

Yep this is true. Forgot all about the lead in the toys. Guess I will look for some SS tube. Good thing is I can still use the tube even with the slit cut in it! I drilled my other one out already.

Yeah just glob it up with food grade silicone. Mcmaster has a good selection of tubes. 16g is a good size. Drill for that would be a .074 I believe. Will check at the shop mañana.

From somewhere:
"In any case, aluminum isn't easy to avoid. You can probably dump your aluminum cookware without too much trouble, but you'll find aluminum is also contained in many common antacids and antiperspirants. I note, for example, that my friendly bottle of Ban Basic here contains aluminum chloride and aluminum chlorhydrate. (Granted, you can now get aluminum-free deodorants.) Even more insidious, aluminum is added to many municipal water supplies to help remove floating debris. Aluminum is also found in household baking powder, self-rising flour, cake mix, pancake batter, and frozen dough (as sodium aluminum phosphate, a leavening agent); in nondairy creamers, table salt, and other powdered foods (as an anticaking ingredient); in processed cheese (as an emulsifier); and in hemorrhoid preparations (up to 50 percent aluminum hydroxide). The known human requirement for aluminum, you may be interested to know, is absolutely zero. Have a nice day, kids."

I think the aluminum in cartos is a risk I can live with. Not that I use cartos much anymore.

Yeah I dont think anything is good for us any more! I am sure that the people in white lab coats will be telling us that O2 is not good for us soon! I stopped worrying about this stuff long ago as I have no control over it. Like why my tap water smells like a swimming pool! lol

Here are the pics. Drill was a .057 works just great. Now I feel dumb for spending money on the era lol. Era has sexier curves tho.

Goodness.
Pressing the tube in was a pain but got it with vices and what not. Doing this at home will be a challenge. It was a challenge in the shop so. It is solid now the center pin doesn't creep up like these are notorious for doing, air hole was kept stock but a 3/64 will help its vapor production and taste by night and day comparison. Another way to do this is do a hole for a no press fit, get some food grade silicone and slip the ss tube in there and let it cure. The tube doesn't nothing but deliver the juice and that's a out it. Enjoy

Just saying.... some juices are more caustic or acidic than others so one person, for example, may see rapid changes in metals that come in contact with their juices while others may see very little. We see this in how plastic tanks react to some juices also. None of the juices DH and I use cause any noticeable color change in brass catch cups but other people have to do regular cup cleanings due to the reaction of their juices on brass.

One of the best ways to search for "foods" and metals and health is in relation to cooking and storage of foods. Just first page I went to, but many many more. It's Your Health - The Safe Use of Cookware [Health Canada, 2006]

On cooking sites there are many warnings about imported cookware that doesn't meet North American standards for safe use in cooking and food storage. The studies are still out on the relation of aluminum to Alzheimers.

DH and I are "casually" cautious about what we consume/inhale/ingest and attempt to gather valid information. We both always close our auto air intake when in heavy traffic, behind autos in a line, or in the smoggy city (We live in a relativly clean air rural area.). An example of extreme hyper reaction to "smoking" (hysteria), which really ticks me off is establishments, located very near heavily traveled streets/highways, that ban smoking outside within a certain parameter of entries yet folks open their windows to let "fresh" air in. I understand the desire to avoid analog stink but I've seen so many people become "hysterical" spotting a few wisps of analog smoke within 10 ft of an entry, even on breezy days, without even considering the pollution they spend most of their lives breathing. One evening, in a closed off cigar/pipe/analog smoke filled bar "smoking area" of a very crowded restaurant (smoking area had separate ventilation system from rest of restaurant and tables/bar seats/booths were very scarce and hard to get while there were some tables open in non-smoking area) a woman at next table was furiously fanning her menu at my vapor, about 5ft away from me. It was butterscotch with no tobacco flavor. I approached her to let her know it was just harmless water vapor and not smoke. She said, "I still don't like it!!!! You need to stop doing it or move away from my table or make sure it doesn't come towards my table." I asked her if she liked butterscotch flavor which she did but her mind was set that my vapor was extremely unhealthy for her. What in the hell was she doing in the smoking bar???!!!!!!!! That's hysteria. Her house is probably filled with scent dispensers that always give me headaches. And she probably has her house sprayed regularly with not so healthy insecticides like most people do around here. I know the type. Rant over

Just got replacement springs for my second Grand and am rocking it with a 1.1Ω coil in my modified Phoenix. I was paranoid about shorting and checked continuity with the meter at every stage of the setup, but so far its amazing! I thought 1.1 would be too hot for my DIY peppermint ice cream, but it really is nice.:vapor:

Hey Dave, Stormy's has these atties, but so do a lot of vendors. I think Nhaler has them. You will need some 18 guage ss tubing, or a 18 guage needle will work. You can get the tubing from McMaster Carr, or a needle at madvapes or a bunch or different vendors. Also a drill bit that is around the same size as the tubing, and drill... a drill press would be better.
