This is hours before he passed.

Think that catches me up on pics now.

Thanks everyone for all your support!

my condolences, it's tough losing a best friend that lived it's whole life to be caring.

maybe he'll meet my old dogs...Scruffy, Snuffy, Pepper, Aspen, Pug (a pug, i was 4 and not yet innovative on coming up with names)....although if he meets Snuffy he'd be best advised to steer clear after dinner-time...gastric issues...not a pleasant smell.

"You have a special place Dear Lord
that I know you'll always keep
A special place reserved for dogs
when they quietly fall asleep
With large and airy kennels
and a yard for hiding bones
With maybe a little babbling creek
that chatters over stones.
With wide green fields and flowers
for those who never knew
about running freely under
Your sky of perfect blue.
Lord,I know You keep this Special Place
And so to you I Pray,
For one Special dog
Who quietly died today
Who was full of strength & love
and so very, very wise.
The puppy look they once had
Had long since left their eyes.
They are dearly missed my Lord
By a very good friend of mine.
They went to join their ancestors
To Your land that is divine
So, speak to my pet softly please
And give it a warm hello.
Here is a Special gift to you Dear Lord
From us, who loved her so."

I understand completely your feelings...my Gizmo fought a 27 month battle with a maxillary osteocarcinoma, inoperable of course, and on the morning of 2/6, he let me know it was time. My son (27yrsold) and I took him to the vet and held him while he went to sleep. I miss him so very, very much...for those 27 months I handfed him, since the cancer was in his jaw. Ok..I still can't type about it...

Here is my snow puppy:

And this one taken just two days before he passed, snuggling with his best friend, my chi Sophie:

Aw, Sorry Cindy! Our pets are a member of the family and leave such a huge hole when they go. Our Lhasa Apso, Buffy, lived to be 16 and our children grew up with her. She's been gone ten years now and I still hear her tag jingling on her collar sometimes when I am alone at home. Very precious memories, and your pup was lucky to have you. You will see each other again one day.
