I appreciate the review, you summed up what takes a twenty minute video for a firearm reviewer.

I'm a fan of the USP and HK in general but the modularity of the SIG really has my interest peaked, I really need to find a loaner of both and see what's what. The VP9 and P320 are both similarly priced but the VP9 doesn't come in .357 SIG which is the caliber I would purchase the P320 in, I would have to go with .40 on the VP9.

I definitely like the more aggressive grip on the VP9 and the customizable backstrap is a huge bonus. The mag release wings are okay but I like the standard US location more.

I DO love the .40 S&W round, and it would have been a LOT easier on ammo inventory to not have yet ANOTHER caliber. However, I can get a brick of 9mm Blazer FMJ's for $100, about 2/3 of what I'm finding for .40's. I practice a LOT, because, ya know, it's FUN and I don't even have to leave my yard. :)

If I were purchasing to shoot for fun the 9mm is a no brainer, like you said the ammo can be had dirt cheap relative to other ammunition prices.

I'm looking for home defense and occasional recreational shooting. I like to shoot my MKII more than anything...inexpensive, not loud and no sore wrist after shooting 150 rounds :)

You shoot 100rds of .40 in a day you will feel it, well I do anyway...carpal tunnel like a .....

You may want to take a look at this article. 9mm is as good a round for home defense, as it is for punching holes in paper. Higher mag capacities or slimmer straight line mags, a plethora of grain choices, inexpensive, and as effective as a .40, .45, whatever have you.

I must have missed this thread when I started the other one, I guess I'll ask to close it down since this one is doing way better too.

My typical load out minus keys, wallet and everything else that lives in my coat or jacket:

And a more minimalistic carry for when relaxing at home or when in shorts or sweatpants:

Love that Ti flashlight.

Me too :)

They're becoming scarce now though, so I would hurry if you want one. It's an Olight S10 in polished titanium (there's a bead blasted version as well).

Lousy pic, but here it is side by side with it's successor the S1 and a Quantum DD (discontinued) on the left:

TIR lens versus traditional lens on the S10 (both in moonglow mode):

There are many versions of the newer S1 though, titanium, copper, brass, just name it. I would recommend one of those if you're looking for a new EDC flashlight. I've had my eye on the bead blasted titanium version with brass bezel myself, but my alu S1 is from the original first batch and they changed the UI after that batch and I'm not too crazy about the changed UI or I would have gotten one already.

So unfair, even slingshots are illegal to own weapons over here :(
We have a couple slingshots. The funny thing is though, they sell them in stores here in Cali, but you can't have one shipped to Cali o_O
I found a really nice one online, sold out of GA, I called and asked why they wouldn't ship to Cali, they said blame the Governor, so that's who I blame! Bunch of turd blossoms

I figgered if I asked the resident gun guru and the other gun guru (my brother) and they'd give me good advice. Turns out you both recommended the same gun. Two rights can't be wrong :D

Well, I live 99% of my life in a semi. So I keep 4 batteries and 4 ProTanks within reach at all times. Just trying to use them all up (plus 5 more egos) before I permanently switch over to my replaceable battery mods which offer that exact same ego performance level.

I thought my vape's tinny, nice!

I wish I could get something like that with temperature control, some day maybe.
