So I've been dooped.... I was under the impression my poldiac was real. Purchased off of eBay, come find out it's a clone.

Please be aware you guys, don't end up like me. If contacted eBay and since there's "no proof" of real or fake to the eye or on the ad, they can't do anything.

I'm now a very discouraged person when it comes to trying to improve my collection on a light budget.

Please, please, please, know where you're buying from!!

:-(

I spent $150 shipped, it was technically a gift for Xmas and my birthday from my wife. After looking up reviews and other things and details, I still wasn't sure being as I've never owned or held a "real" poldiac. But a good friend of mine who has one told me it wasn't authentic.

That sucks, did you contact the seller?

Yes and I've gotten no response back at all in 3 days. I can't express how infuriating it is that someone can do that. I don't know what else to do.

What would your state laws say about selling a counterfeit item as a real brand? I am sure they would regard that as being a bit naughty

Hopefully lesson learned. If it looks to good for an authentic mod..then it is. Just remember that research is key when buying on scambay. Put it this way, the poldiac is a 200 dollar mod in USD...so anything a crazy amount less than that is either very well used or cloned.

But keep in mind!! Clones can also be amazing! Sometimes clones are so close that its just a matter of a difference in engraving style or type of metal

So was it used? Maybe the seller didn't know it was a fake and will get back to you. If it was new and real it certainly wouldn't be #126

Well it was in a bubble wrap bag with an 18500 tube and pants replacement so I'm not entirely sure. He said it was new but like I said previously I just put my trust in someone I shouldn't have
