I just use masking tape to label. It stays on securely unless pulled off, when pulled off it makes no sticky residue so the bottles take less work to make reusable, and it's easy to write on. It's cheap too! That's all I have but it's a zinger of a tip!
I went label-maker, watched for a good sale. My writing bites, and since I like DIY, it's important for me to label properly. (I can handle any faintly rational nic level and PG/VG, but I know others need to be more careful.)
Credit goes to my wife on that one lol. She is an angel as she will package all of My PIF, label it, and even ship it out for me. All I need to do is take the offers and find the people who need. My handwriting is awful so after she saw the first few that I was sending out, she insisted that she take over. I'm okay with that! My own collection now has masking tape as labels if not the original label. I hate having to use goo gone to get labels off as it gets so messy and I hate the smell and feel of the stuff.
I also try not to wrap the masking tape completely around the bottle so you can get a general idea how much liquid is left in the bottle. I'm learning more every time I PIF!
