I got my test tip today and couldn't wait to test it even though it was difficult to try and destroy one of Lewis's beautiful tips. :(

I tested it with an 18650 acrylic mod that is broken with a battery in it and a short atomizer.

First test was dropping it on the end of the tip with the weight of the mod and battery behind it from 1' on a linoleum floor. No damage. I did the same test at 2', 3' and 4' with no damage.

Second test I did the same thing only dropping it on cement. 1', 2' & 3' no damage. 4' the tip snapped. At 4' I can't be 100% sure it land directly on the end of the tip. It could have turned slightly on the way down and landed on an angle. I couldn't find the piece that broke off but here is a pic of what it looked liked before (except for the color) and the result of the crash and burn.

I hope this helps and I really love the cats eye genie. It's perfect on one of my wood mods. :)

Ok so, first drop about 3" survived.... second drop from about 6" survived the initial drop but, if landed just right where it spun itself into a 1020 and smashed itself upon the tile at a theoretical 100mph and, lost the fight against speed and gravity.....

What kind of tile did it land on? It kinda looks like marble or some kind of stone that it's laying on.

Well, I dropped one of my beta tips from about 6.5' high (just over my head) onto the tile floor in my kitchen. I did this about a dozen times, holding the tip in different positions, with no issues at all. Was even able to have it bounce right up so that I could catch it several times, but the tip still looks brand new.

Was it on a mod? That's really remarkable.

Yes, I saw those picts of the Bronze & Violet. Two showed just dark violet and two showed some bronze, but they all were very small tips. I'm hoping that the larger the tip the more apt the bronze will show more on a 1.5" comfort tip. Thank you, Lewis.
I added 1.5 Comfort in Bronze & Violet and Crushed Mud to the list

Here are my 3 drip tips from the latest batch.

Tuquoise & gold web comfort on a Phiniac tank and Roller.
Black Mother of Pearl straight grooved on a Phiniac tank and Bolt.
Silver crush comfort on a Phiniac tank and Vmax.

If you would like closeups of the tips I can do that.
Very nice :)
If you can separate them in photo shop I will add them to the site.

That's the first one to not break at the connector. :)

Cool now we know the short ones will break too. The head on my indulgence broke before I could break one of those :)

They survive great with no weight behind them and seem to break with weight.

How did everyone like them under normal conditions? Did they get hot or melt? Any weird taste?

Mine hasn't gotten hot or tasted funny. I don't notice any difference between these without the ss core.

A good test of the connector would for somebody to put one in their pants pocket and sit on it. I could do that with the tip I broke since the connector is intact but the mod I used is too big to put in a pocket. Maybe I could try it with an ego that I don't use in case it damages the threads or the ego connector.

Fantastic. I must say, maybe it's in my mind, but I seem to be getting more flavor with this tip than I was getting with the standard tip I happened to be using on my Davide. I've never noticed any flavor difference when changing tips, but I seem to have when I put this one on.

Just wanted to drop by and say how much I love my new tips......crushed silver, turquoise w/gold web and malachite web. That brings my collection to five and I'm already looking forward to more. The finish on these tips is so incredibly glossy. My dad used to do lapidary and metal work as hobby and I have many pieces of jewelry he made for me of various agates, jade, turquoise, etc. These tips remind me of that. I just love them!

Lol. It was on some sort of tile. The stone kind. That pic with the tested one however, was a piece of a cardboard box. Lol.

The tip was tested upon an A7dripper attached to a failed sigelei ,#20 without a battery.

As far as the other tip that survived the" cut" ..... no weird tastes or melting. Running it on my latest cotton build on the aga t2 at 0.68 ohms. I'm sure I could melt it but, I'd need to use it on my NGP ring switch accidentally not locked in the holster during a meeting in the warehouse for 10+ mins. Ask me how I know. Lol.

Anyways, I like this super short sizing for these. I have a few drip tips that are normal size and, they feel enormous now. Keep up the good work. If you need another beta testing, I might have a few design ideas that I need to put on paper.
