I got my test tip today and couldn't wait to test it even though it was difficult to try and destroy one of Lewis's beautiful tips.
I tested it with an 18650 acrylic mod that is broken with a battery in it and a short atomizer.
First test was dropping it on the end of the tip with the weight of the mod and battery behind it from 1' on a linoleum floor. No damage. I did the same test at 2', 3' and 4' with no damage.
Second test I did the same thing only dropping it on cement. 1', 2' & 3' no damage. 4' the tip snapped.
At 4' I can't be 100% sure it land directly on the end of the tip. It could have turned slightly on the way down and landed on an angle. I couldn't find the piece that broke off but here is a pic of what it looked liked before (except for the color) and the result of the crash and burn.
I hope this helps and I really love the cats eye genie. It's perfect on one of my wood mods.
