I've vaped in a bunch of locations, I've only had one place that told me they didn't allow it. Was in a casino their poker room. I think pretty much all poker rooms, or the ones I've been to, are none smoking now. You have to walk out to the casino floor to smoke. When she said "Sir, you can't smoke in here." I told her it wasn't smoke, but she said they don't allow e-cigs either. Ehh, not a big deal. I like to get up from time to time and take a short break anyway.

while at a casino concert, i was told the same thing. smoking is allowed everywhere in the casino except the concert arena. they already knew it was vapor, but they explained to me that although the vapor is non-intrusive, other people who smoked would see the vapor and think that they could smoke. it seems like the places that actually allow smoking are the first places to disallow vaping for this very situation.

as far as places ive vaped, my answer is pretty boring: everywhere.
well, i guess i do have a slightly interesting place: ski mountain. Killington, and Gunstock. last year was crap for snow or else i would have had a bunch more. vaping on the lift is perfect. it used to be damn near impossible to get your lighter lit with all the wind, gloves, and goggles in the way. now i just fire up the PV and vape with the ease of ten men.

Heh today I walked into a smoke shop to see if the had anything cool for my pv you know just a shot in the dark. Well there was a lady there buying some disposable ecigs well being the nosey guy I am I asked her how those were working for her. She goes on to tell me she has stage one emphysema and that she hates the ecigs she get but that she needs the hand to mouth motion. Seeing how I always tell people that once you try a real vape for the first time you'll see what the fuss is about. I let her hit it and her face lights up she tells me "where did you get this it's so smooth and I didn't have to hit it a bunch just to get anything" so I step out of the smoke shop Cuz by this time I have like 4 people all asking me questions about it and the owner looked none to happy with me. I show this site and tell her where I got mine and that she should read up a little bit before she spends 80 bucks on something she might hate. So I feel like for the first time of pestering everyone about quitting and going to a pv I might have actually helped someone.

I took my time machine back to June 23, 1987 to some mall and Tiffany was performing on stage, I vaped near the ultimate. A security guard asked me what I was doing since I was using my Provari and I just told him it was an inhaler and I walked off. I got to hear I think we're alone now live which was choice. I also got to drink an orange Julius before I headed back. Neon tank top guy rocked!.

"I vape where you can smoke out of respect."

Eventually you wont be able to smoke _anywhere_. Some folks legally aint allowed in there own homes. Smoking is quickly become less popular than mass genocide. Everybody loves to hate, and these days, look at who the target is.... (smokers)

I really dont think socially equating vaping with smoking is a road we want to go down IMO.

I think its a road we want to steer wide and clear of.

Unless we want to end up, thirty years down the road, with the very last smokers in the world, in a large forest, in a hidden cave, hiding like osama bin laden, while they are being chased down by the FBI in helicopters.

Or perhaps locked inside a special 100% sealled box, like at the airport, full of tobacco smoke, coughing up a lung.

"Smoking is allowed everywhere in the casino except the concert arena. they already knew it was vapor, but they explained to me that although the vapor is non-intrusive, other people who smoked would see the vapor and think that they could smoke."

This really to me sounds like the most (or only) legitimate reason not to allow vaping somewhere. Somewhere dark, crowded, full of drunk or drugged, or out of control people, where the mere sight of something that looks like vaguely like smoke, could give the inebriated the minor excuse they want.

In any other circumstance theres no reason to confuse the two - its no trouble at all to tell the two behaviours apart, at a glance, or at a distance.

But that above one is one legitimate scenario I can understand. Perhaps when theres no smokers left, and they have all be rounded up and put on their own island, they can relax that rule.

I vape where you can smoke out of respect. Sometime I will vape in the bathroom of a store or restaurant but not openly I don't want vaping to get a bad name because of people that abuse it.

This is what I think too. Vaping is for us to have a safer way to get our fix. I think being considerate when around groups of people would be more likely to sway their attitudes towards vaping as acceptable. And each given situation would have to be decided at the time as to whether it would be a good time to vape.

It's easier to list the places I've been told to stop:

1. One specific bar. I ran into another vaper (using a Bolt with a vivi nova) and he wanted to see my Provari. I'd been stealth vaping all night, but accidentally let out a bigger plume. The bartender came over, knew exactly what they were, and asked us to stop so that smokers wouldn't think it was okay in that room. I had no problem complying.

2. Twins of Evil (Manson & Rob Zombie) in Atlanta. 4 or 5 bouncers came over to me to tell me to stop. It was a bit loud to really explain things, but I got across "not smoke" and "same chemicals as your fog machines", and they left me alone……probably because they didn't care enough to actually talk to me.

I agree with being respectful ie. Not around kids or in someone's house without asking. But that's not the point of this thread. Lol in a library Man I'm not sure what it is about going there I always feel like if I step to loud I'll get tossed out let alone get caught vaping I'd feel like a 13 year old sneaking smokes in the bathroom

I recently took the missus on a trip to Disneyworld down in Orlando. We vaped on Spaceship Earth, Pirates of the Carribean, Journey into Imagination, Captain EO, Tower Of Terror, the 45 minute ellen's energy adventure ride, the people mover....

any ride with a "dark" portion, we vaped on it. There's a ton of sights and smells and sounds that take over your senses at disney, most people are so preoccupied they don't notice that little blast of fruity smelling vape coming from the group behind / in front of them.
