I'm not really embarrassed to vape but I don't in public places out of respect for other people. I vape at my college campus in the designated smoking areas. But I do feel weird vaping in my car at a light and the person in the next lane stares at me in a weird way. I live in an area where vaping is generally unknown and they probably think I'm smoking weed due to the gigantic vape clouds.
I dont know really, i go out with my mods but i rarely use it i just dont get the same experience outside that i got while smoking or maybe i just got used to vape in the house only or over friends houses; when i started vaping and stay at home for 1 or 2 months lol and didnt go out to shutdown the smoking habit it worked but i guess thats why i just dont enjoy? vaping in the street walking etc
One thing funny is that still theres people that i know ask me for a cig or lighter

I take my Provari and tank with me everywhere. I openly vape when not in close to others. I always ask if in a restaurant. I do enjoy the comments I get. "Is that some kind of drug?" or they ask if it is drug paraphenalia. I explain that it is an ecig and that I have not smoked a cigarette in almost 2 years and that gets positive remarks. They also comment how it smells nice. I have yet to have a negative reaction.
I've been complimented both on Kentucky Premium Blend from Vermillion River, and Boba's Bounty (been told by my kids it smells like cookies) from AVE myself.
I vape everywhere, and have never once been asked to stop or go outside.
We do have a couple brick and mortar stores here in town, and some local TV ads, so that may help.
Usually in a restaurant, I will check with the server first.... unless I've had a couple beers in me, then I just whip it out.

I vape EVERYWHERE- including giving a demo to every single doctor I've been to (there aren't many, but they all approve and think it's neat). I stealth in Walmart and other places where smoking isn't allowed because it's not worth the hassle, but I do vape openly in restaurants if it's slow and the staff allows it. A couple of jerks is all it's going to take to get it banned from stores, so I try to not be part of the problem.
We're currently in France and I vape very openly in cafe's billowing out vast plumes that make YT reviewers seem asthmatic. I love vaping near smokers- kind of a "my cloud is bigger than your cloud" sort of thing.
