I had my provari for almost 3 weeks and it was working fine but JUst yesterday it started giving a burnt plastic taste with a tiny bit of vapor it might not be the provari, I dont know what it is yet. I dont even know if it is vapor it might be smoke from somthing burning I have no idea what it could be. I contacted provape.com and they asked me to check what my cartomizer is running at I dont see why that matters because it was working before and I bought a new carto and tank from them the same I already had on there and still the burnt plastic taste. Has anyone else had this problem? If so does anyone know what could possibly be wrong. Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated thank you.

Any taste issues you're having are going to be related to the cartomizer/atty, remember that all the provari is doing is providing power to the device doing the actual vaporizing. It's possible you have a bad carto, it was fired when it was too dry, etc. It could be a variety of things. If you have the same issue on multiple correctly filled cartos/atties, then there might be a problem.

Weak vapor can be a starved carto or a flooded one. Usually a flooded carto gurgles when you draw.

Fill the cartos this way the first time to get them saturated thoroughly. After that, pop the tip off and check the filler. If its white, add a few drops until it doesn't absorb any more juice. Squeeze the upright bottle to remove any air in it, turn it over and use the bottle as a suction tip to draw back any pooling. If that doesn't work, toss the carto and start a new one.

What I've been doing lately (since I use thicker liquids as well) is putting a couple drops in the carto, then giving it a "thermometer shake". The liquid should move further down into the carto, then you can put in another couple drops and repeat. I hold the carto on the mouthpiece end when shaking it.

since I started using the condom fill method.. I do this before I put the carto in a tank. It's been working perfectly and haven't had a dry burnt hit since :)

I bought the ones I'm using now.. the xl mega boge 3ohm carto at crystalclearvaping.com Great prices and service. BUT he's still out of stock :( He has other cartos though. I haven't seen this size anywhere else except at Healthcabin.com but they are out too in the stainless steel. I use the long ones because they fit in my dctanks.. the short ones are in stock. sorry, wish I could be of more help. Maybe someone else knows of another vendor selling the xxl boges.

And like they said above... it's not the provari.. (it's just a battery).. it's your carto. You may also be using too high of a voltage for the resistance carto you're using.

@Trapper1 - Congratulations on the recent acquisition of what many would say is probably the best advanced PV available on the market right now. The advice others are giving you regarding the cartos is very good, but I'd like to take this opportunity to drop a quick note about battery safety. If you haven't done so already, make sure you read the post linked below and do some homework on Li-ion batteries so you can continue to have a safe and thoroughly enjoyable vaping experience.

right now Im using IMR batteries I bought them from provape.com where I bought my provari and cartos and tanks. I just dont get it, it was working fine and no matter what I try to do nothing seems to work. idnw Im buying a reo so if I cant get this situation fixed with the pro vari I'll try and sell it with of cours telling who would ever want it what problems Im having. Another choice might be sending it back so maybe they can test it and possibly fix it if its the mod. It's only 3 weeks old and Im using everything from them. Im just very confused right now and need an expert. Thanks for the comment I appreciate it

did you do the condom fill? did you check the ohms on your carto to make sure that they're not metering too low.. some of them do that. Do you have another device that you can put a fresh filled carto on to see if it does the same thing? If after all this.. please contact Provape.. if your device is defective, then they WILL fix it. Since I started condom filling my cartos for the first fill, I've yet to get a burnt or dry hit. do this exactly as the video shows and see if you're still getting burnt hits.. also, after it's filled (after.. not before!!!!) check the ohms of the carto with your provari to make sure your carto is what it says it is.

Thanks for the info. I only have one carto left and everyone I had including this last one has a hole punched for a tank and it has a plate at the bottom to protect from dripping I guess. Can I still do the condom method with that type of carto?
