Please Explain Variable Voltage Like I'm 5

I have an Evic, one of the older models that reach only to 11w/5v. I'm working on the art of building wicks for the Aerotank I've plopped atop the device, with much success.

I feel, however, that I'm leaving some of the experience "on the shelf," so to speak. I recognize that the device can do VV, but I don't understand the benefit. Please tell me like I'm 5!

Variable voltage and variable wattage allows you to adjust the power delivered from your coil. The more you increase the voltage, the more current is pushed through your coil, which increases the amount of heat produced by the coil. The hotter your coil gets causes the juice that is in contact with your coil to vaporize faster giving you more warmer vapor.

With vv you're setting how much power you want to push up to your coil with each press of the button. The higher you set the volts the more power you're pushing up to your coil in 1 push. Higher or lower volts affect the flavor & temperature of your vape. some juices taste better with a lower volt & a longer draw while others taste better with a high volt so they can heat up more.

Explain to you like to a 5 year old? Easy:

- Raise the voltage or power for a hotter coil
- Lower the voltage or power for a cooler coil

Benefits of VV/VW with a custom coil:

- With a fixed voltage power source, the resistance of the coil determines how hot it gets. If your coil's resistance is a bit off target, the vape will be a bit too hot or too cool and there's nothing you can do about it, short of rebuilding the coil. VV/VW makes your almost-right coil just right.

- You can make a coil that has more turns - for more contact with the juice - with a higher resistance and crank up the power accordingly.

- If your atty is flooded, you can temporarily crank up the power to maintain vapor production while the wick dries up, and clear it up faster.

Variable voltage is just having the option of adjusting the heat of the coil. Think of a pot of water boiling on a stove. Low heat = very little boiling (steam or vapor production). Increase the heat = the water rolls to a boil and a lot of steam & vapor is made.

Some flavors taste better at different temperatures (voltages).
