I'm little confused..the only thing you wouldn't have to do with REO as opposed to a rda is dripping instead of being bottomfeeding .You would still have to build your own coil, figure what kind of wicking material to use, know what ohm to use,use the right battery and sometimes fiddle with your configuration to get the best results. How does using a REO make everything simpler or even add to the flavor I mean more so than dripping? It all really matters on your build IMO. Please don't get me wrong I'm going to buy a REO as soon I finish saving up for one so I have nothing against REOs at all. I think they're a really cool device for someone who has basic knowledge of coil buliding ect. but not really for a beginner who doesn't know if they like or are going to stick with rebuilding process.
I tried 3 other RDAa and found them very finicky...was always messing with coil position, drilling bigger holes for more airflow, etc. Just never got the good, consistent flavor I do with the RM2. Seems I can't mess it up. And yes, you need to be comfortable with building coils, but it seems almost foolproof once you have a basic knowledge of how to do it.

Can you transport it on its side with juice in it without leaks? If it leaks on it's side, it will leak out any juice out of the atty in a bag. It is bottom fed, yes? What keeps it from emptying the bottle if it was upside down in a bag?

I was wondering about this as well. I read something recently, cant remember where, maybe the REO forum, about this. Seems it wont leak because you need to actually squeeze the bottle for juice to come out of the bottle. Also, If you turn it upside down or on its side, the tube will be above the juice so it cant go in the tube. You might have some juice around the catch cup or in your atty but other than that, it should be leak-proof

Maybe, but it's hard to beat $29.95+free shipping, especially for something you've never tried before. And these particular Tobecos have a feature that is apparently unheard-of in other kayfuns; you can loosen the 510 screw to extend it a little, without loosening the block. That's a godsend with some mods. And that particular vendor really is All That, just amazingly good customer service.

I might get a genuine kayfun someday, but I'm so absolutely delighted with those clones, I really can't see a reason. Also, I just ordered a Smok RSBT, and that looks like it might be even better than a Kayfun, for a MUCH lower price (and better features!).
That feature on the Tobeco is great it is like that on the Russians I have makes it pretty nice to fit onto anything.

I love it because I have a Sigelei Zmax v3 flat-top, which isn't totally flat, there's still a very tiny bit of bevel, which makes a huge ugly gap, so I use a Kayfun ring as a beauty ring instead of the Sig's usual top cap; you really need to be able to extend the 510 connector just a *smidge* to make that work, if you don't want to permanently alter one of your Kayfun rings, which I don't.

So portable dripping is the main draw? I can see how that garners praise. Still doesn't make sense to me that it's the first thing everybody recommends lol.

I usually grab a kayfun for long commutes.

So portable dripping +1 for REO

Kayfun is fiddley - sometimes I have to build the thing 2-3-4 times before I get a vape that's still not as good as a REO with an "en, I guess it'll fly" coil in it.

This is spot on. The only leak I have ever had was from making an absent minded squonk before pocketing/stowing it and got about 1 eensy drop out of the air hole on my RDA. You have to squeeze the bottle to feed the juice, so no squeeze= no leaks ... Im pretty sure it could be used upside down while hanging from monkey bars without leaks...this added to the no fiddly, indestructible and no more carrying 5000 vape things were my biggest priorities when I went Reo.

Just to add for OP - I had zero experience using a mech or wrapping a coil and even though I understood ohms law and battery safety, I was super nervous to actually DO it, once I did it was an "oh- thats it?" moment. Getting over the initial nervousness is the hardest part :)

Good luck on your journey and whatever you decide that you love while you are in search of *your* vape nirvana!

Holy cow, that's huge!

The class was awesome but it was more than just a class. It was me and the coil builder sitting down and going through the motions step by step. I must have watched him build 5 different coils before I decided to buy this. Then he built me the coil for it. I'll post a picture of it here in a second. I took a picture so I could look back and see what he did.

I like the vape on this thing A LOT. Although he let me try his dripper (can't remember what it was called though) and that thing was a MONSTER. I can't wait for my Triton to arrive! He gave me some wire too, and sent me on my merry way.

The only issue I'm having is some leaking. If anyone has any suggestions on that, I'd love to hear them!

As long as you don't leave a lot of juice in the atomizer after your last squonk (i.e.. vape it up) there shouldn't be any leaking. Occasionally I over-squonk and get a few drops out of the air hole, but have never had any other issue with leaking, and i toss mine in a little case in my purse and it just lays any which way it falls in.

I upgraded from iTaste VV V3 w/ iclear 16s/ to DB Modz V2 w/ Mini Nautilus. You can definetly feel the difference, i mean this Evolv Chip just gives you a consistent power experience i blow clouds out of this thing now and the flavor that the Nautilus provides is something that definetly lacked in the cheaper iClear 16s. Higher end hardware definitely makes a huge difference in the Quality of the vape. I myself had been thinking about getting a rebuildable Atomizer BUT i am lazy lol haven't decided to take the plunge yet. I am happy with the Mini Nautilus so far.

Might be flooded. It always leaks a little but not too much:
Check:
Enough cotton on the chimney to hold liquid. Too little it will leak, too much it will give you dry hits.
(Shame you didn't get the 3.1, the bottom holds the excess liquid when it floods) Put it upside down, with a napkin on the driptip side and blow from the little hole. Excess liquid should go out. NOT THE OTHER WAY; YOU'LL FLOOD IT EVEN MORE
Check the airflow screw. If it's too tight, you're pulling in more eliquid than the chamber can hold. Increase your voltage if you may, or loosen the draw a little bit.

So far when it leaks I've pulled off the tip, wiped it all off and pushed it back down hard and it stops it. It hasn't leaked now for a couple of hours.

On another note, the coil the guy built me came in at 1.0. He was thrilled. I'm experimenting with wattage now with some lovely, well-steeped CB.

It's a Kayfun Lite. The little air hole is where it's leaking.

Hold it upside down, blow *out* thru the drip tip, with a paper towel held below the air hole... you might need to do it 2 or 3 times, but it will clear the flood, so it won't leak or gurgle. The paper towel is mainly to clean up whatever emerges, but also to keep it from blowing into your eye -- I did that once, OWWW!!! Nicotine really burns the eyes. :D
