I really need to clean my atomizer I use for dripping, and the only way I know how is with vodka... I'm out, and liquor stores are not open on Sunday around me.

Anyone know what else I could do to clean it? I have so many new flavors sitting in front of me I want to try, but can't with my dirty atomizer

People will claim it's not safe but use some isopropyl alcohol then blow it out from the connecter end. Works like a charm and I have never had any issues doing it this wY

Easiest thing... Boil about 2 inches of water in pot, throw the attys in for 10 mins. Dump out in a strainer, blow out and let dry. Usually takes out all taste.

ps - If you want to dry them quicker, stick them on the end of a pencil and put them in front of a hair dryer

Yep, blowdryer works wonders in getting them dry. I use it to dry my Vivi's and Stardusts when I clean them.

This is IMO.
I stopped using cartos and went to clearos like the repairable and rebuildable kind like the CE 5's and Vivi Nova. I dont' have to use grain alcohol on them i soak them in isopropyl then wash and dry burn. The let them dry for a day. Drips/cartos are different lots harder to clean IMO. One reason I left them. When I did or do use them I have a thing that attaches to a syringe that you screw onto a 510 base and I suck water in and out of it or use a water pick that helps but then you have to let it dry or I did. Takes a while to dry.

My personal method - denture cleaning tablets. works beautifully - is cheap and easy to find. one tablet and 1/3 cup boiling water. Throw your atty in and let the water cool. Rinse well. No after taste on the atty and leaves the atty like new. really!

I have stuck with the boiling (simmering) water method and it seems to work fine. Forceps are a must have to jiggle the things around in the water. (What else are you gonna do without a clean atty?)

After that I'm I believer in dry burning. The water will get the muck out. But for any residue solidified onto the atty coil dry burning is really needed. As long as I'm careful - not heating the atty too long and letting it cool down between burns - it's fine. Less is more: You can always come back and do more dry burning. But if you overdo it and pop the atty coil it's all over.
