Hey everyone, so within the last few months, I have been slowly getting annoyed with vaping. My all day vape setup is a Kanger Aerotank mega on a Vapor Shark rdna (depending on liquid and coils, any where from 9-16 watts) What is pushing me away, is it seems like no matter what liquid or setup I use anymore, I just can't taste anything. I have tried taking breaks, and even switching to a potent menthol flavor for a while. I don't know if I have a severe case of vapors tongue or what, but its really depressing. Unless I can figure out a way to get the flavor back, I will probably be hanging up all my vaping goods :-( Please help me, as I do not want to do that.

And before you all ask, I change my coils regularly, I clean my tank regularly, and I have even tried my RDAs, and still can't seem to taste anything.

Please Help :(

i had a bad case of this when i got a banana flavor i couldn't stop vaping. for me i think i over vaped myself for the day not sure. i read a few tricks to get rid of it off the net, and it worked for me not sure what one as i tried both at the same time. sniff coffee grounds the used ones. i just smelled a kcup id just used to make coffee. then theres the towl trick. i think i read about it somewhere on this forum, but you take a bowl of water nuke it till its hot add some salt and soak a towl in it, then ring it out so its not dripping wet, place said towl on your face for 5-15 minutes make sure its by your nose so the steam gets all up and in there this method is used to clear out vapors nose it happens when your nose gets to dry thus causing flavorloss id link you to the thread but i forget what it was called. this worked for me. good luck hope you get over your vapers tongue/nose.

Thanks for your response. I will give those a try tomorrow. Not sure if the coffee grounds will work though. I sniffed a ton of it while I was searching for cologne for my grandfather the other day lol.

yeah. i think the towl trick really did it for me, the post that talked about vapors nose made so much sense. let us know how it goes. also are you switching up flavors during the day? i found if i like one i stick with it to long then it fades out. and im sad lol.

Has there been any complaints within the last few months regarding Kangers coils? I was wondering if maybe they had some bad batches?
the old ones suck. they choked out the flavor with the extra flavor wicks. are you using the new ones? and i picked up a brick of coils went threw like 8 duds in a row, but for the most part they last pretty good. im on about 3 weeks on my current coil daily use. my others are a few weeks old.

How can I tell if I have the "Old Ones" ?

Well, you said this happens with your RDA's as well right? So it's probably not the Kanger coils. My only advice is to make sure you are staying plenty hydrated. Vaping really dehydrates you so you need to keep up on your water intake. Not implying anything, but personal hygiene is also a must. I make sure to brush my teeth and tongue every morning and night as well as drink plenty of water and I've never run into vaper's tongue yet! Good luck! I hope you get it figured out. :)

Thanks for your input. I Stay plenty hydrated, as I drink at least a gallon of water ever day. As for Hygiene, I do brush twice a day, but I do notice the more I vape, the more of a weird build up I get on my tongue. I do use a tongue scraper too though. I think I will try everyones ideas, and also take a short break again. Hell, maybe the juices I buy aren't quality juices.

Hey. I got the same problem. Have a ton of nice juice and can't taste anything. Have vaped for 7 weeks now and I even don't remember, If i tasted juice when I started...
There was a thread just before, about vapers tonge. These solutions were offered:

- Vape zero flavour 100VG mixed with a bit of water or vodka and nic for a week or so. That'll calm down your taste buds.
- Use Biotene products to fight dry mouth syndrome.
- Put some salt on your tonge or take lemon juice shots
- Hydrate. Although, some say, they drink a lot of water, but it does not help. Well, one must drink a lot of water anyways.

Hope it helps. And hope it helps me too.
Keep it up..

Can you all recommend some good high quality juices that have a ton of flavor? I usually just go to my local vapeshop, as it is more convenient. Please only juices that you know are made here in the USA with FDA approved ingredients.

There are a bunch. If you return to the main ECF page and drag it down to the vendors section, you will find several high quality US juice makers/vendors. Alien Visions and Back Woods Brew are a couple (among many others, really) that have been around for a very long time and have served the community very well.

I have read through them, I am just always really indecisive lol. Was looking for a brand and flavor suggestion from someone with personal experience. And remember please all natural and fda approved ingredients.

So, you want to try and taste a juice that is proven to have a lot/great flavour before doing that zero-flavour thing?

Sorry, didnt read about zero flavor juice.. I have some and have tried it..

On a side note, I think I am going to spend some money and change up my setup and also try some premium juices from Suicide Bunny.
One question though. Before I purchase an Aspire Atlantis, can you all tell me if the 30 watts on my Vapor Shark Rdna will be enough to push that tank?

If you have it, vape it for a while.

If you cant't taste the juice, don't spend money in Suicide Bunny now, you won't aste that either (I have 4 different SBs, no use).

The VaporShark rDNA 30 fires starting from 0.5 Ohms, so you would be on the edge there.
The 30W won't max it out, but maybe your sweetspot is under 30W. Thats all theory.
