So I'm not an expert but when I finally stopped using kanger tech junk all my vapor problems went away, no more dry harsh burnt hits all the time. I believe the set up and silica in kanger stuff leads to vapers tongue and hot juice spitting on the tongue. As soon as I switched to rda with cotton and even bvc with aspire all that went away. I've never been happier vaping since I left kanger in the dust, although I'm curious to try their cotton coils. My 2cents anyway, could be wrong but yea give it a try with something besides kanger dual coil silica wick set up and see if that helps.

Trust me, there really is vaping after clearo tanks. I'm just a little surprised that it takes so long to become fed up with them.

Kanger, Vission, et-all don't make good atomizers for their tanks because they don't want to. They want you to keep buying, and buying, and buying. Well you don't have to! The atomizer coil has been in my KayFun since last March, that's right ... almost 10 months without having to buy (or make) a replacement coil.

I have Kanger ProTank 2's and AnyVape Davides....and still use them. My 5-51/2 month vaper's tongue went away when I started rebuilding my Kanger coils with 30 Kanthal and cellu cotton. I have since added the Nautilus (both sizes) to my arsenal and have been able to retrofit the ProTanks and Davides to using the Non Nauti Replacement BVC's....in effect turning them into mini Nauti's.

Also, along with starting my recoiling and wicking endeavor, I started to take one Zinc supplement a day. So, don't know if it was the zinc or the rewicking; but was able to taste my juice for the first time I started. I do have to say that the ultra lights I was smoking had no flavor I could taste, so I didn't care if I couldn't taste my juice as healthwise everything else wound up being a who-o-o-ole lot better.

Good luck to you, OP. You'll get there. :)

I've been struggling with this off and on for about a week or two now. I was vaping a really good custard and vaped the living crap out of it. I decided to switch to another flavor and did a bad wicking job and got partial dry hits and didn't realize why it was tasting so terrible. Since then, my taste has come and gone. That custard I can barely taste at all now. It tastes like flavorless juice. Anyway this is kind of confusing for me, but I sympathize with the vapor flavor issues your are having. I hate it in the extreme. One day it tastes great. The next day that same juice either tastes bad or has no taste. So confusing.
It makes me wonder if my coil is bad, if my wick is dirty, if the juice somehow got spoiled etc etc. Too much voltage, not enough? I go crazy trying to figure it out, but I think the cause is an over stimulated sense of taste and smell from frequent vaping.

I went ahead and purchased an Aspire Atlantis today. Vaping a 60 vg 40 pg liquid in it at 26 watts, and it is full of flavor. I was using kangers dual coils, and I think they are actually pretty crappy.

As for why my rda's stopped tasting good, who knows.

But I can say that this Atlantis is full of flavor.

First off Kanger stock coils are garbage I rebuild my own using organic cotton and 28 gauge kanthal usually at 1.0 ohm-1.3ohm and they are so much better. I find if I'm having problems with vaper's tongue I drink grapefruit juice and it livens the buds back to where they need to be but I found that if I switch up my flavors every other day that I don't wind up with flavor issues but if I vape the same thing constantly it tends to get bland because it is all your taste buds are tasting non stop it is like they become numb or immune to the taste. Try alternating your juices regularly so that your taste buds are constantly getting a kick in the pants and see if that helps.

I will try some grapefruit juice to see if I can get even more flavor. As for switching flavors. I can only switch as much as my budget allows lol.. Liquid isn't cheap :-(

Aaaah, crap... Just when I thought my clearos and a stock of new coils would be enough for now, this seduces me into thinking about getting a Lemo or a KFL or some other good and simple RTA to try that rebuilding vs.taste...
On the other hand, half of the world loves the BVCs..

    Crap.

Cloud_Chaser, I've been at this full-bore for about 9 months now, and I *still* have days where things don't always taste "amazing". Right now, I think I'm starting to come down with something - my sinuses have been wonky, and I'm blaming that.

If you have some "junky" juices, now might be a good time to work on them - at least you're not "wasting" good flavors?

I hope things settle out for you - hang in there!
