1st of all you are doing amazing!

It is overwhelming starting out, but worth it. You are in the best possible place for advice & support.
It does look like 510 threading, which is great. It's compatible with so much.
I started with an ego, which looks exactly like the battery part you have. That was 12/10/2010, never looked back.
I have saved over $10,000 since, & that's after deducting all costs for vaping.
I stayed with the ego & got a Provari mini for my 2nd anniversary,
It is important to have a back up. For instance, I dropped the battery charger for the Provari, back to the ego.
My favorite vendor is Best Electronic Cigarettes and E-Liquid - MyFreedomSmokes.com
Chris is dependable, fast, honest. His prices & e-juice is the best I've found & he has great sales.
I was frustrated in the beginning, he called me back on a Saturday, after I'd emailed my frustration to him.
I get everything there except Provari stuff, which I get from Atomizers - Cisco Spec 1.5ohm Low Resistance Atomizers - Avid Vaper
& I adore Cisco's attys. I use a drip tip, still challenged by tanks.
That keeps me down to 2 vendors, I too was hard core @ 1 & 1/2ppd x 45 years.

Please let us know! I expect it to perform on par with other Kanger BCCs, but I like the glass--and the looks. :)

I've posted my on-going impressions on a few threads. You're right about it being a little too much for a Twist. It looks nice, but it's heavy. I've never tried a Kanger BBC before, but the draw is very (!) airy which I've heard is similar to other Kangers.

I'd been waiting patiently for it to come out and was very excited, but I don't love it as much as I'd hoped to. I currently have my favorite juice in both it and a carto tank and the carto tank has more flavor. I kind of expected that, but I figured not having to prime cartos would balance that out, which it sort of does, but it is a fussy little critter! It doesn't like to be cold, which is a problem at my house, since I keep it quite cool. It seems to be because the thick glass and metal have a hard time warming up and it fights with the coil to get the liquid to vaporize - lots of gurgling and leaking in the morning.

I'm not knocking it completely; it's a beautiful device, just not as easy as I thought it would be.

That's interesting--I never thought about the glass being cold in a cold environment...

And I agree about the airyness--I plug a hole at the base of my BCCs. Makes a big difference.

Thanks and goodnight, Ocelot!

I guess you didn't see the picture the first day I got it and did a MacGyver airflow restriction:

I bought my first Provari because I was tired of getting mods that broke. I wasted more money buying inferior mods and was tired of always being on the mod search. It had nothing to do with looking cool. It's made so well that once you actually hold one and Vape one, OMG! A vamo doesn't compare at all. I loved mine so much I bought a 2nd one as a backup. I got it on a blemish sale for $140 and couldn't resist. There was no blemish, it just doesn't have the logo. Plus I also love the warranty it comes with and paid extra for an additional year warranty. I've never had a problem with either Provari, going on a year now. I carry it every day and have dropped it alot, and it's still amazing and doesn't even look scratched up. I have other mods also but I tend to not really use them anymore.

Hate to admit it, but guilty as charged, too.

Had to look! Hello Kitty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, so I don't need that Vamo, after all.

And now I'm really gone. Tomorrow is Monday--again!

Personally,I love my ProTank AFTER I rebuilt the head. It restricted it a tiny bit. It's noisy which I think adds to the feeling of it being airy. Also it looks surprisingly good on EGO batteries with the skirt.
They needed to make the main tube more narrow on the ProTank.

Reos are absolutely gorgeous. You can use almost anything with a Reo--they are 510 threaded. All mechanical, but I think they now offer a vv version as well.

I don't need any more toys...
Yes but, the squeeze the juice bottle part confused me..Does that require a special atomizer? I can't see how a normal atomizer gets the liquid to the coil through that process...I know it's simple just not seeing it.

Hi, Vapoor! Please define "normal vaping."

Just kidding, just kidding! :D

LOLLLL that comes from a recent experience converting someone. I asked how much he smoked per day and what brand. He told me 1 PAD. So I got him an 1100 Kgo, spent about 3 hrs tutoring him, juice samples, mg level, etc. Told him he'd have about 10 hrs vaping per batt. Got home and he calls me- batt is drained after 5 hrs vaping. Go back and give him another 2 batts- same story- batt drained in 5 hrs. Turns out he smoked almost 3 PAD so now I try and remember to tell people "normal" vaping. The convert...bought a Mech Mod with 2200 mah batts and he emailed the vendor saying the batts were defective and were drained after 10 hrs. He's now contently using 36 mg juice on his Mech Mod. A PITA but what was I gonna do as his wife (poor soul) is a high school friend of my wife.

Edit: also when he was sampling juices told me he LOVED the Cherry Banana and my Cow Trail Tobacco but didn't like the colors...cherry red and dark brown

Really? It uses the air pathway? Just squeezes up. You actually draw the liquid yourself into the cart through the air hole. New to me. Are Cart coils easy to rebuild? Can they even be rebuilt?

I've wondered about rebuilding cartos - I'm not inclined to do it, but I got into a conversation with someone overseas who has very limited access to supplies and was asking if it could be done. I've cut up a few of them (I was the sort of kid who dismantled everything in the house to see how it worked) and they didn't look to complicated.

Hi, Eddie! You can use any 510/306 carto or atty with the Reos. They have their own subforum here--you may want to visit them. They are a fun group of people!

Reos Mods

They also have a list, somewhere, of RBAs that can be used on the Reos, in the stickies, I think.

And no, you can't really rebuild a cartomizer. Cartomizers are totally disposable and flimsily made, and even if you could recoil and rewick, you could never, ever put the stuffing back into the cartomizers shell. I've performed countless autopsies of cartomizers and I know them intimately. :)

Hmmmm. I wonder. Doesn't(carts) seem cost effective but, man that is a simple well built device that will last for Years. Carts have stuffing and the coil is wicked right? Does it sit sideways or parallel to the tube?

I may order some just to try rebuilding. I mean someone built them in the first place right? I know more capable people have probably tried but,I won't be happy till I fail myself... Just me..

They're aren't any rebuildable ones? That just seems wasteful..

Hmmm...I didn't consider the tube - but if one had no access to replacement cartos, I wonder if something similar could be made. I realize building an atty would be easier, but I've got this Professor from Gilligan's Island thing going on in my head. I think modding a coconut would be fun.

If you mean "cartos" as in cartomizers, there are two kinds; vertical coil (Boge, Smoktek) and horizontal coil (Bloog and its numerous clones, new Kanger).

They are made by machines in factories. I guess you could try, but why? If you want to rebuild, use RBAs--they are meant to be rebuilt.
