Please help! new to ecigs

i just bought a disposable (njoy) last night at the gas station down the street and am very excited so far i love it and the pros are very attractive to me despite the looming withdraws i know I'm going to go through (which, to be quite honest has also stopped me in the past from quitting smoking analogs all together) even with that i feel very comfortable switching to ecigs and i know i can make it past this. my only concern now is trying to find which starter kit is right for me, i read through the new member sections and prior to that i read about THE EASY STARTER KIT- KR808D-1 and i thought this would be a good starter kit for me, but then i saw the post- that lists info on what would be the best cig for a new user and i decided the 510 might be the way to go but I'm not sure where or what site i could go to in order to find info on a starter kit this is all very new to me and confusing, please help. Also im quite curious and not sure this is available in the new members section (maybe i just haven't look good enough) but what exactly is IN a ecig and what is it that I'm smoking? i know part of it is water vapor, but what else?

Honestly I didn't have any symptoms or withdraw at all. I took it slow but it was a pretty painless transition for me.

I started with a different kit than the one in your link. I purchased juice and got an ego (big battery model) and cartomizers. I got juice in 12mg and 24 so I could increase/decrease the nicotine if I needed to. Found the 24 to be perfect.

If you get that kit in your link, I'd pick up a wall charger, maybe an extra battery, empty cartomizers and a bottle of juice. Most people vape between 2/3-5 ml of juice per day.

a 510 kit would be a very good place to start to get you off smoking cigarettes.

However if you want my earnest opinion look for something with a bigger battery .

an EGO , Riva something like that.

I know it doesn't look like a normal cigarette but having a battery that lasts a longer time without charging is a big plus , believe me.

Welcome to ECF. The KR808's are good starter kits, but I would recomend starting with a Riva, KGo or ePower. They are all threaded for a 5210 connection, and are lightly larger that a cigarette (they are known as "fat batts"). The Riva and the KGo are about the size of a AA battery in diameter, and the ePower is slightly larger but uses less expensive batteries. The batteries last for 6 hours or more and also allow you to use low resistance atomizers/cartomizers (they give a larger amount of vapor and throat hit). You can get a starter kit for $40.00-$60.00. You will also need juice. To start with I recomend you get several small bottles of different flavors to experiment with.

A flood of information and suggestions will be coming your way soon. Read what everyone has to say, then do a little research based on those suggestions and you will find a great starter. My two cents... go with an eGo style (eGo, KGO, Riva etc.) they perform well even for seasoned vapers, the parts are east to find, there are a bunch of options for you to try out (cartos, attys, tanks, blah, blah, blah). Ego kits are fairly inexpensive for a starter kit you can find them from around $35-$65. They are roughly the size of a cigar which can be a bit of a turn off for a newbie, but its not smoking, its an entirely new thing that takes a bit of getting used to, and the size of an eGo is just another small thing to get used to in that process. Trust me though its a quick adjustment, once I picked up mine I never touched an analog again.

As far as nicotine withdrawal, I never experienced it with ecig. They have varying amounts of nicotine in the liquid. You can order anything from around 36mg, 24,18,12... to 0 nicotine. So withdrawal shouldn't be an issue.

Liquid typically consists of, propylene glycol (PG), vegetable glycerin (VG), flavoring (artificial or natural) water, and ethyl alcohol. Some folks may put in a bit of vinegar, or some other food type additives like citric acid for example.

I started with the EgoT starter kit. It came with two 1000mah batteries and two type A tank atomisers a car charger and a wall charger. You need to have two batteries at least so when your battery dies all you have to do is switch to a fresh charged battery. That way you dont go back to cigs . Congradulations on taking your lungs back.There is a ton of info on this forum,you keep reading ecf and you will be A.O.K.

I looked at the website and starter kit. The good news is that it's fairly priced and will be easy to start with. It comes with 2 KR808-D1 batteries and a USB charger, 5 prefilled cartos, and a free 10ml bottle of eliquid. The Kr808-D1 slim ecigs are thought to be one of the better slim ecigs. You can buy prefilled or blank cartos in a lot of places in addition to this site as the KR808-D1 is the second most popular threading on a PV.

The part that bothers me is that they don't tell you how big the battery is. It could be anywhere from 180mah, to 280mah. You can plan on about 1 hr vaping time for a medium vaper so you will be doing a lot of shuffling of batteries. I would at least ask them the battery size before I bought it.

Also buy some small sample size bottles of eliquid so you can refill the cartos. You didn't say how much you smoke, but we generally recommend new users start with either 18mg or 24mg eliquid. It's easier to go down than up, or you might want to get some of both to see which one works better for you.

I see they had some clear tanks as well as cartos on the site for the Easy. I haven't heard anything about them, either good or bad. You might want to try one to see what you think. I don't know whether they have leaking issues. If you decide to get more cartos instead, be sure to get LR (Low Resistance), not SR (Standard Resistance). Also get a Drip Tip to make the carto more comfortable in your mouth.

I'm a 510 girl, but someone will be by shortly who is more familiar with the KR808 and who will be able to suggest KR808-D1 vendors.

I can tell you that I bought the EGO-T starter kit with the big battery and the low resistance atomizer. For the juice, I got a sampler kit from VAPORBOMB.com and I got the Casablanca juice from backwoodsbrew.net. I absolutely love the casablanca juice and it will be my juice of choice, but I am also trying a couple more like ejoker based on recommendations from here. Once I received my starter kit and juice, after a 1 hour battery charge I put down my analogs and it has been 2 weeks with nothing but vaping. My girlfriend also quit and we are both much happier. You should research all the good information and advice on here and get one thats good for you. As far as strength, I can recommend 24mg for the nicotine. Good luck and Welcome!!

I just wanted to say I had NO withdral from analogs either. Nothing changed except I wasn't inhaling 54 harmful chemicals. Oh and when you graduate to the next level you're going to love the flavors. I'm vaping Cake and Banana right now. It's just like having desert.

The first time around with e-cigs, I got a pen-style and it just wasn't reliable enough to keep me off the analogs.

This time, I got an ego-t and it works really great for me. I can also buy the reg. atomizer and cartridges that fit on the battery (which I did by mistake). I've been off analogs for 4 months, this after 36 years of smoking and it's been really easy.

OK, the ones you are looking at are not cartridges (carts), they are cartomizers (cartos).....two very different things.

Cartos are easy to fill by a variety of ways.....put in the plastic sleeve with ejuice, syringe method, drops from the top of the carto, etc....lots of videos on YouTube showing the various methods.

Using eliquid instead of prefills is usually cheaper, quality is better, and you get a much larger choice of flavors and it's easy.

If you buy eliquid, start with either 18mg or 24mg of nicotine. You get lots of choices when you buy eliquid. Also try to get the 80PG/20VG percentage when you choose your flavors as it works best in cartos. Buy lots of sample packs to try lots of different juices. What we like, you may not like. It's more of a personal search for juices......LOL

Definitely not pre-filled cartridges.

I would recommend cartomizers (they are atomizers and cartridges in one)

for most types you fill them by dripping in the liquid (its really very easy).
In this way you can choose from an almost unlimited variety of different flavours

whats the difference between vg and pg? i notice that the juice i have been looking at offer different percentages and i was wondering how is 100% vg different from lets say 50%vg 50% pg?
