Hey, My names Steve.. Thanks for having a great and active forum here. But today.. Im having issues with rebuilding a Protank 2 coil as the title says... I've followed everything I had to do using 28AWG Kanthal and Cotton wick. I made the coil with 12 wraps and ran the two leads to the bottom of the coil. I put one through the insulator and left one out. Put in positive stem with the other lead on the side.. Nothing ran through it. And no matter what I do my Tesla always says it has a short with 0.0 ohms. But if I put in the stock wire just the same as the 28AWG.. It has no problems?? Im starting to wonder if the 28AWG is too much to burn through? Im Confused
You might get hurt. Even before wrapping coils you should do your homework on safety even if you have protected device because that Chinese safety feature can fail.
