just got my Joye 510, I took it apart, charged the battery part of the joye 510 till the light went green on the power supply, I put in the cart in the atomizer and dropped in 2 drops of eliquid in the atomizer. but I've been hitting the button on the joye which heats up the atty, but nothing happens. I hear the noise where it sounds like it's heating up the atty, but then when I puff, nothing happens.

what the hell am I doing wrong?

is it possible there's something wrong with the cart? i know this sounds dumb, but bear with me because I've seen this happen before with plenty of newbies...

the cart that comes with your atomizer is a blank, are you trying to use that, or did you unwrap a brand new cart for it?

rosa,
I put in the cart into the atty right out of the wrapper. I thought the supplier would put the eliquid in there for me? not sure about that, that might be the problem. how many drops of liquid should I put in the black cartridge?

If the carts not a blank (has stuffing in it) then you're using the right one.

*blow the new atty out into a paper towel until no more wetness comes out
*drip two drops of juice into the bridge of the atty (the side the cart connects to-look inside and you'll see a hump with some strings under it-that's the bridge- drip drip)
*screw the atty onto the battery
*look at the cart: it should have stuffing in it and the stuffing should come all the way up and be flush with the opening. when you look at the stuffing it should look wet like a slushy but not too wet. You can add enough juice to it to make it look like a slushy - if you add too much just dab it with a paper towel.
*pop the cart onto the atty and hit the button (assuming you're using a manual) for a sec before you drag on it. Drag nice and slow - like you're sucking a verrrry thick milkshake through a thin straw, let the slow drag last for a couple of seconds.
If you are NOT using a manual (no on button) just give it a quick drag to activate the battery and then a nice long, slow drag right after.

If this works that's great! If it doesn't work then we'll go from there.

Good Luck!

every time. the button turns it on and releasing the button turns it off.

also, FYI: when you use the carts they can tend to go dry pretty quickly so you'll get into the habit of re-moistening the stuffing (filling) after every 10-20 drags on it. Here was my vaping kit when I was using carts:

*needle nose tweezers for pulling the filling back up to the edge of the cart (every time you put it into the atty, the filling gets pushed down by the bridge) but you can use a paperclip or a toothpick or anything to drag it back up again.
*a small bottle of juice for topping off
*a paper towel or napkin for dabbing off the excess juice
*an extra battery, of course!
*I bought some blue foam stuff to replace the stock filler that comes with the cart too 'cause I think it draws the juice up to the bridge better so I had to top off less often. It's really cheap and easy to use, you just cut off a little rectangle of it about the same size as the filler plug that comes with your cart. Marineland Magnum Foam Sleeve "Rite-Size U" 3pk.

There's lots of ways to use these things, but starting with the basics is the best way to figure out what's going to work best FOR YOU. In about a month (or less) you'll start saying to yourself, "self, this is great and everything, but I wish the batteries lasted longer", or "i wish the juice didn't taste like whatever filler I'm using", or "I wish I didn't have to mess with all this topping off and filler and tweezers and blue foam stuff"

When that happens, don't get discouraged! There's a solution out there for all those concerns and more, just take it one step at a time..

Good Luck!
