I have 2 pv's now, a Tornado tank Ego-T from Totally Wicked and a Torpedo-VVV(Lava Tube) also from TW. I just started using the Torpedo VV yesterday even though I've had it for 6 days. I finally got the 6ml dual coil tank working well, but I still cant get the stock Torpedo clearomizer that came with the Torpedo working right. I filled it yesterday and let it sit for a few minutes letting the string get soaked, and yet all I get is burnt rope flavored hits! I tried it again today and got 1 decent hit, then back to burnt rope flavor again. But as long as the 6ml tank works, I'm happy!
So I've also bought 3 Smoktech LR cartos for mt Ego-t, and they work pretty well, but they are loud and I think they get too hot too quick. I dont really want a 1.5ohm LR carto/atomizer. The factory-stock atomizer cone that came on the Ego-T works fine, but I'd also like a clearomizer for it that hols a bit more e-liquid than 1ml, but I dont want 1.5ohms.
Question 1: What is the resistance of the stock atomizer on the Ego-T? I heard its somewhere between 2.2-2.4ohms, but I'm not sure. Is a 1.8ohm carto/clearo going to be obviously less hot and loud than the 1.5ohm? Or do I need to go with 2- 2.2ohm?
Question 2: Once that line of questioning is cleared up, which clearomizer is the best for an Ego-T, and what resistance should I get it in? Like I mentioned above, I had problems with the long wick in the Torpedo clearomizer from TW, because it just doesnt want to wick liquid onto the darn coil! I certainly dont want something that is going to give me burnt cotton flavor 1/2 the time!
There are tons of different models of clearos out there. There are also cartos that have clear plastic tanks, but they are not called clearos for some reason(?) I have been looking into the Vision Stardust/V3 clearomizer, but thats another challenge, because its hard to figure out which model is the V2 or the V3. Some stores have V2's, but call them V3's. I believe the V3 has tips that are the same color as the tank, and the V3 has replaceable atomizer head, whereas the V2 has black tips, and long wicks but no replaceable atomizer head. Thats the best I can figure, correct me if I'm wrong. There's even a guy who does popular e-cig reviews, and he's got a Vision clearomizer video all about the confusion of which model is which, but yet at the end he does a review of a V3, but its not a V3, its a V2!!
Confusing......
