Sorry Pbusardo, while a good reviewer, definetly did not coin the term taste is subjective. The pathophysiology of taste includes two different sensory systems at a minimum, and could be argued that all 5 senses are involved. It is impossible to give a definitive review of the flavor profile of a juice. It is possibly redundent to state taste is subjective, but is usually meant as a reminder to other people to proceed cautiously.

Really it is like when people come here asking for "the best rba" or the "what is the best juice" or "who makes the best juice" or "what is the best mod"

it is all so subjective. and when someone ask a question looking for "the best" there really is no "the best" because it all depends on our own subjective bias.

Like Reonaughts will say "The Reo is the best" well for them it is, it is a great device, but for me, I require a regulated mod... so for me a Reo is not "the best'...hence taste not only in juice but in product is SUBJECTIVE.

On steeping - that entirely depends. When you're ordering stock juice from say, someone like Stinky Canucks - you can expect it to be steeped. I've never had a bottle of Stinky's that needed to be steeped. However, when I order from say, Evaperated - I don't like her stock 70/30 mix (and I think she's changed it now so that you can choose your mix anyway) so I would request a 60/40 and she would comply with my wishes and make me some the way I wanted it, or someone even more like that, dear Jugheads who lets you choose what colour toothbrush the guy uses the day he mixes it. They are mixed *for you* and if you want your vendor to steep the juice that you just ordered in a 65/35 mix in a 24 (because everyone keeps lots of premade 24s on hand) then I think you're asking a bit too much, m'dear. Or you better be prepared to wait for it anyway as it sits in their kitchen cupboard instead of yours. Sometimes juice needs to steep. So steep it. Or never order from anyone but vendors that don't offer you mix choices.

I've said Vader Pudding makes me hurl. I cannot even fathom how someone could like it, it's heavy and gross and horrible - and inevitably 10 people will jump in and tell me how much they LOVE Vader Pudding. You know, I like Swedish Berries and Carnival Caramel Apple from MLV. They're both really good, so it's obviously not the entire line, I just can't stand the mix. The mix that is possibly one of the most loved juices of all time. So, is it then cool for me to just slam it? Is that fair to MLV? It isn't because obviously other people like it fine and obviously I like two of their other juices very much. If someone skips over Vader Pudding because of a review I wrote, that loses MLV some sales and it loses that other vaper an opportunity to try something they might love. So, taste is subjective says to me - this probably isn't bad juice if that's your thing. Reviewing the flea market's house line, or maybe Gold Seal - then maybe we don't say that, right? So, sure - I can't review this because I don't like these flavours - but you go ahead and try it if you like custards, is what "taste is subjective" says to me. YMMV. ;-)

There are some people in this world (well a lot) that need to have their hands held when making decisions so being told "it's subjective" is exactly what they need to hear. If they are told it's wonderful, they buy it and if they hate it then omg you are horrible for mentioning it or they feel horrible and there must be something wrong with them because they don't like it as much as the others do etc. When I try something, no matter if I like it or hate it, I always say that for my own personal tastes it was either good or I didn't care for it but that we are all different blah blah blah. Some just need to be spoon fed a little bit, especially when first starting out in this vaping world. I would rather have someone tell me that "it's a personal choice" instead of just saying oh yeah it's wonderful, or oh hell no it sucked donkey... well you know what I mean :D

Is the use of paragraphs subjective? Because I sure would have used them on that OP lol. With that said I'm sure you'd be surprised of what people had to be reminded of. This just happens to be one of them.

BTW I'm not starting a grammar war. There are grammatical mistakes in just about everyone of these sentences. It's just that paragraphs make it easier on the eyes, and I'm just poking around :)

I could be the only one with this gripe but i cannot stand when somebody reviews a e juice and the last thing they need to point out every time is " taste is subjective". Like as we all know it was pbusardo that made that term popular and that is fine for him to say it because that's his thing. He has probably reviewed more juices than 99% of vapers have ever even seen. So in turn why does everyone that ever reviews a juice need to remind you that "taste is subjective". EVERYTHING IS SUBJECTIVE! smell is subjective, sight is subjective, feel is subjective, almost everything tiny little thing about vaping is subjective, LIFE IS SUBJECTIVE!!! maybe im looking into this too much but it seems to turn everyone into a master reviewer. You either liked something or you didn't like it that's all that needs to be said and when someone tells you they didn't like something you liked you don't need to say.. " well taste is subjective". THANKS TIPS! i was unaware we are all different and like different things!! How many people drink wine... TONS! and how many expert wine tasters are their out there... not a whole friggin' lot. So why does every human being need to be an expert on cloud production, throat hit, how many notes a juice has... The answer is we don't... The reviewing system on websites is so flawed. Every juice you look at has 4 to 5 stars because only the people who really love it are taking their time to give it 5 stars and only people who hate it are giving the time to give it 1 star and ..... about how bad it was. OHH!.. and something even better thing is someone telling other people you need to steep it! When i order a juice and i get it in the mail im going to pull that sucker out and vape it! Not stare at it for 2 weeks and hope the flavor profile is enhanced from the oh so scientific breathing and sit in a dark place method. My point is it shouldn't be our responsibility to steep juices, it's up to the companies who you give your hard earned money to for a bottle of e liquid for it to have FLAVOR! I never bought a pack of cigarettes or cigars and said OHH! im going to let you sit my dark cupboard and in 1 month you will taste 10 times better. We need to let juice companies know that when i took it out of the box it didn't taste good and if they tell you, you need to let the flavors steep... you say give me my money back. If i wanted to manage the flavor and mix it myself I wouldn't be paying you to do it for me. So when it comes down to it don't let others opinions stop you from purchasing whatever you want... support your local B&M's and TRY THINGS OUT in your hands, in your lungs, in front of your eyes, talk to a real face! If there is something you want to look at ask them to order it in so you can try it out... give it a try it might just work... im sure you will be much happier.

umad bro? ;)

OH BABY!...The forum vent is real today... what are some things that bug you guys about forums/reviewing/ or just vaping in general?? LET IT OUT!

P.S. if all that fails put your faith in the godfather/OG GrimGreen he will never lead you astray.

REALITY is subjective.

I've got one of those in a drawer in my bedroom. I just can't seem to like any of the halo juices.

Andria

Have you tried their menthols? I like them--can't stand their tobaccos.

But, of course, that's just my opinion. YMMV :p

BTW--you can always PIF them, or trade them--there are plenty of people who might want them.
