I purchased a still sealed bottle of juice from a member, let it steep for a few days (less than a week) and then tried it and didn't taste anything. I can't smell anything either. The juice is Halo Menthol Ice. I was thinking I would steep it for another week and see if flavor develops. Has anyone ever steeped a juice that seemed to be flavorless at first, or weak in flavor, and then it developed and became more flavorful later? I have heard of ppl steeping juices because they don't taste like the flavor yet, or because it is too chemically or perfumey, or because it is too strong. But would steeping a weak or flavorless juice actually help it? Has anyone done this and gotten a positive result? TIA for ur replies!

I didn't really like Halo juices too much to be honest, but, I know what you're talking about.

Some members have tried putting the juice in a glass bottle or something like that, and microwaving it for a couple of seconds (like 3-5). If you do a search, you might be able to find a thread talking about it. Never tried it, but, apparently it worked for some people.

I have heard about that but just too afraid to heat the juice, seems to me like that could potentially ruin a juice. Anyways I think that was an accelerated steeping tip. But what I really want to know is if anyone has steeped a juice that didn't have much flavor and it became more flavorful with steeping...or if halo menthol ice in general is a weaker juice.....or just anything related to why I'm not tasting anything....

Another accelerated steeping method is sitting the bottle in very hot water. and shaking it every 30 minutes or so until the water cools.

ETA: I'd think this would alter the juice less perhaps a better method than microwaving.

I guess my main question that I am thinking is: is there a chance this bottle will improve with steeping?

There's a chance I think it justdepends I've heard of caramel flavoring becoming richer after steeping so intheory it could help. Look at it this way the worst thing that could happen is nothing. If it doesn't improve trade it or sell it in the classys or PIF but I' give it a few weeks 1st if it was me.
