You can probably tell I have kids by mine...

1 The Little Mermaid
2 Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory The original.. I won't even attempt the second. I dislike remakes)
3 (not so sure on this one.. a good chic flick or a great scary movie.. )
I love the first Willy Wonka, so much so that I bought the remake the day it came out without seeing it first. I must admit it was alittle scary lol. I love Johnny Depp, and I love the book (which it's alot more like the book than the first movie).. but it realllllllllllllllllllllllllly creeped me out. It grew on me after seeing it a few times though.

I can see why people are Johnny Depp fans.. I just can't get into his movies.. I've tried but can't. And I am generally not a fan of remakes of movies or songs.. I am odd :D

I can deal with remakes alot better than I deal with most sequels.. ALOT of the movies coming out now are oldddd remakes.. theres only a select few sequels that are even worth the time.. and keeping the same characters really help!

looks like a great selection of movies that are liked but I am surprised no one has mentioned a few movies. My favorite movies of all time are probably:

1. The shawshank Redemption

2. any vince vaughn's movies

3. Deads poet society

I`m with you 100% on # 1 & 2, I haven`t seen #3 so I guess I`ll have to as it seems we have the same taste!

BTW.... ever saw Cool Dry Place with VV? I have a DVD that after watching once more I could PIF to you if you haven`t.

I can't go by individual movie (we have so many that I often ask dh if we have one I was thinking of, because I can't keep track)

1. Kevin Smith (especially Dogma)
2. Colin Farrell
3. Will Smith

We're si-fi dorks too so Star Wars, Star Trek, Stargate...

Also all the old Burt Reynolds movies.

Hmm...lots of favorites, but these I could probably watch 7 times in a row and not get bored:

Reality Bites (reminds me of high school)
Dazed & Confused (ditto)
Resident Evil

Love lots of others like The Ring, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Heavenly Creatures, Donnie Darko, Suspiria, The Doors (although I get bored at the end), The Empire Strikes back, The Goonies, Labyrinth, Event Horizon, Office Space, Comedians of Comedy, Pulp Fiction, Mallrats, Go, Kids, etc. I've watched a lot of Japanese & Korean horror films, like the ones that were remade like Premonition, Dark Water, Ringu. I like watching anime, but I need some recommendations for some good movies. I guess I have more of a male movie watching attitude because I like mostly horror, sci-fi, & action and I can't stand chick flick movies with like Meg Ryan or Jennifer Aniston.

By the way, I just saw Avatar last night and it was awesome. I watched it on Comcast on Demand and I think I must buy it. I haven't bought a DVD for probably 8 years! (that's what Netflix is for)

Oh, forgot some awesome ones like Heathers, Dracula, Edward Scissorhands, The Nightmare before Christmas & Jawbreaker.
