Whoa.. 35 cents lol. When I was first buying my own cigs at 17 through a drive-thru cigarette/gas shop so they wouldn't ID me, they were $1.10. I know I was truly addicted and unable to go through the whole school day without one so I'd sneak off school campus at lunch and drive around, smoking 3 quickly. (Wasn't supposed to leave at lunch but I decided no one would check if I just went out the front door like I had every permission to do so.. it sure worked!). I think I started smoking my brother's and stealing my dad's between the ages of 15-17. I became unable to play softball soon after I started. I think I was quickly at a pack a day, probably at 15yrs old.. just took a pack or two out of my dad's carton.. he never kept track. My mother also had packs stashed around I think for losing weight... she claimed not to smoke tho I'd always be able to find a pack in her bedroom or her china cabinet. And my brother was there to snag a few from or pay him to buy a pack. I was such an athlete until I started smoking.. that's what I really regret. But happy to have found vaping last year and off smokes finally on Dec 4th, 2010. Veeeeeeery Happppy!!!! YAY

I began smoking the occasional cigar at 16, then went to a pipe at age 18. I never smoked too many cigarettes until I was about 24. The cigarettes are what I hate. I still smoke my pipe and use the e-cigs to ease the craving for cigarettes.

One of my uncles began smoking cigarettes at age 4 (no kidding). The adults would throw their cigarette butts on the ground and my uncle would pick them up and finish smoking them. The adults thought it was funny, and would throw longer and longer butts on the ground and my uncle was soon hooked. He smoked for 64 years and finally died not from cancer but from a surgical error.

Started smoking at 15 at school. The same time I started drinking. Most of my friends at the time were the same and we were probably a bad influence on each other, but I don't blame them. I was just ignorant. Preferred brand was Peter Stuyvesant tailor-mades for a long time, then Drum rollies.

Now I prefer IKV RY4!
