Which method works best for you.

I have tried Hot Water Flush... shake, blow dry - works ok.
Crest Blue soak... rinse, shake, blow dry - works good but takes forever to get the mint taste out.
Boiling Hot water soak ...shake, oven dry - Boiled for 5, oven for 10. This method worked best for me, even brought a dead one back to life this way. Dont ask me how this worked but it did.

None of the above? well I guess the closest is the hot water rinse after that it depends, for a major cleaning (or to get rid of mint or menthol) I do the 24 hour cola soak then hot water rinse then hairdryer thing but it makes the atty taste vile for about a day and a half so the last few times I bought the 80/20 pg/vg 0mg 0 flavor mix that cignot sells and just keep putting drops of that on the atty to flood it then heating it a bit then blowing it out repeating until the old tastes are gone.

The mix is $3 for 30ml so it's cheap and I don't have to deal with rebreaking in the atty.

My fav solution to getting rid of old tastes so far.

I do want to try the ultrasonic thing though I bet my gf has one if I ever remember to ask her about it.

I chose Everclear, though I can't get it locally so I use 110 Vodka, which works fine. And I don't soak either - I pour some in the cart end and cover the openings with my fingers and shake gently for a minute or so, then rinse with hot tap water. Dry overnight. Works great for gunky atties or getting rid of a strong-tasting liquid.

I wouldn't recommend some of those methods - you want something that can be safely ingested.

Oh - don't forget to blow out the atty both before and after cleaning!!

I throw mine in vodka (I had a bad night with Everclear once so I don't even want to look at it anymore, much less have it in my house) for a few minutes and then sit it on a paper towel. Sometimes I don't even let it dry completely. I just blow it out and use it. I've only lost one atty since September and I have about 5 (not in consistent rotation, I tend to favor one for a couple of weeks). I don't know if I could have salvaged that atty because, since it was my first dead atty, my curiousity got the best of me and I disected it just to get a looksie at what was inside :)

You left off my favorite method: Not cleaning them.

Haven't lost an atty yet.

Same here, I rarely clean my atties. Maybe once or twice a month to get the gunk out, in which case I soak in rubbing alcohol overnight, then rinse in hot water and dry with canned air. I have the same atties I bought 4 months ago. I have thrown one away, but thinking back I may have just needed to clean it.

Be careful with the canned air. You'll need to check the can contents. It will usually contain a bitterant to prevent kids huffing it. That will never come out of your atty and the taste is said to be horrible.

I place the atty in a 10ml tube, add about 4ml 91% iso alchol and soak for 10 mins while agitating the tube. Repeat using Crest Blue but for 15 mins.
Then rinse under 120 degree F running water for about 2 minutes. I blow the atty out before soak and after. I then place the atty in another tube with tissue under it and on top of it. Let it sit like this for 24 hrs minium.
Atty is like new after this.

When you say Crest Blue, do you mean the mouthwash? I don't recall a product called that so pardon my ignorance:confused: :)

I do a Diet Coke soak once per week, and haven't lost an atomizer yet.
I should note, however, that I am not a heavy vaper so my atomizers should last awhile.

Also, I should note that I haven't tried anything else but the Diet Coke.

Method I've been using for at least 5 months
-Rotate two sets (one 510 and one 306) each week
-Soak them both for a few hours, using fresh soda every 30 minutes or so
-Rinse thoroughly under hot water
-Soak overnight in filtered water
-Let them dry for a week
