+ You regain the sense of smell
- You REGAIN the sense of smell

I know, it sounds weird, but maybe it's not all that negative, but once you nose opens up again from years of abuse, you'll be in for a real "treat" (more like revenge) . My sense of smell is slowly returning and now I can start to assess just how much damage I was doing (aroma wise) with my car, clothes, etc. Right now, I'm wondering why people didn't complain of the cigarette smoke smell I was engulfed in all the time and not even noticed it.

I got into my car this morning and I can smell the mustyness of old cigarettes. My clothes reeked. Time to go to the laundrymat and get an air freshener for the car.

You're right BigJim, in the long run I'm sure our new super human nasal powers will turn out to be a good thing. However at the moment, I'm finding mustiness that I've never noticed before and whiffs of things that send me scurrying for the mop bucket and steam cleaner. My laundry pile has increased exponentially over the course of an afternoon.

Been vaping since first week of April and analog free since April 13....

Love:
smoking while working (work at home computer geek)
no cherry bombs on paper (I have that all day all over the place)
No more smoking at below freezing weather (not allowed to smoke indoors)
Learning new skill… MODING 
all of above already mentioned

Hate:
COST - had to pay big bucks to have my car shampooed
- had to pay big bucks to have my area rugs shampooed
- had to pay big bucks to mass dry clean all my dry clean only clothes
- had to wash all my clothes (well most of it and not that expensive but still…)
- had to reprint a bunch of documents/references I used all the time and throw all the old ones out. I didn’t realize how much paper absorbs odor.
- had to pay out for moding equipment and for a bunch of stuff I need to replace due to lack of experience.

ELBOW GREASE - had to wipe down and scrub all the walls, floor and ceiling.

New Addiction
- reading through this forum is becoming a new addiction. I’ve missed so many episodes of my favorite shows due to lurking around the forum. I’ve neglected some of my chores (after the initial mass cleaning bit) due to spending too much time reading through the forum. I tend to loss sleep to get my forum fix.
- buying and expecting something in the mail is becoming a new addiction (this in part goes under cost too). I guess this will not stop until I get better with moding and creating my own fog machine. In the mean time, I have GG on order, Janty 501 on order and more juice. I’m very tempted to order the Janty stick but my Janty Dura is taking so long I’m afraid to take a chance.
- Playing juice chemist is taking a lot of my time. Can’t make up my mind on what to stick with.

Aside from all the obvious benefits....

I found I'm spending a lot less on things to make everything smell better. Yesterday, my other half was saying something about PV chargers all over the house and I reminded him that I used to have about 20 Wallflowers (plug-in air fresheners) plugged in everywhere. They were about $12 for a box of two ($5 at B&BW's bi-yearly sale ;)). I spent about $50 a month on them, not to mention the electricity they used.

+++ Being able to breath
+ Not stinking of smoke
+ Being able to interact with non-smokers in a more effecient way (I felt that before I forced myself to isolate myself from them)
+ Not having to go out into the freezing cold for a cigarette
+ Starting to finally see $$ returns now that I already invested in good kits and liquids I like (after a lot of trial an error).

- It's less of a hassle to carry a pack of smokes than it is to carry all this ecig junk and liquid around
- Some things really are best purchased overseas and it's a hassle to keep getting international shipments
- I feel I look stupid in public when I vape / drip / or fill carts (in fact some people asked me if I'm doing illegal drugs)

hey Rexa, I feel like all of those negatives could easily be fixed very soon.

+Given more R&D, e-cigs will be much more efficient so you will only need to bring 1 battery out all day.
+More competition in China will allow for lower prices, in turn allowing US supplier to offer lower prices as well. (crossing fingers LOL)
+Once it gains popularity, I think analog smokers will be the ones who look stupid while smoking in public. When vaping gains total social acceptance, anyone who chooses to still smoke analogs will look like they are very stubborn.

I'm sorry but I have a new optimistic approach to everything lately! I feel the same way as you do with your negatives, I just think they can be turned to +'s very soon.
