Thinking about investing to stop smoking cigs--BTW, How long do the batteries last anyway? Also, how many cartridges can you smoke on one battery? Thanks in advance; just trying to figure out if good investment for me...
Too many variables. Minis don't last very long. The bigger the batt (usually) the longer the use. My DSE601 E-pipe goes 2-3 days on 1 cart and 1 charge. Diffent equipment works differently. I suggest you check in the newbies forum to get more info and opinions. ( I don't want to exert undue influence on you).

Good one...I didn't consider our Pug...(yes, we have one of those as well)

That would be creepy. Stop that. Get that imagination under control.

HAHAHAHAHA!

Yeah first of all before I was given Chesty Puller, I did ALOT of research on Pugs. They are not really for everyone and most people buy pugs just because of Men in Black, or Milo and Otis. When I found out that cigarette smoke hurts them I felt bad and literally lept on the E-Cig band wagon when I found out about them 3 weeks after I got Chesty.

And yeah... my imagination is worse than that of a 10 year old. I am easily spooked in the strangest of places. If you have ever seen "The Decent" that is about the face that I would be afraid of seeing.

Yeah I know it is pretty sad hahaha

I agree with the part about pets, sewing (crocheting for me), and the whole marital relations part! The only thing that creeps me out is if I vape alone in my bedroom I get spooked. like I am afraid that little blue LED will light up and there will be some creepy face right in front of me. I think I would literally pee myself

Ooh I knit and crochet too-- so I'm there with you. Have you ever accidentally dropped a lit cig or lost a cherry into your bag with your yarn? I've had that happen. Not pretty.

I love cotton/ramie yarn-- sadly its also quite flammable.

 LOL

My fear is that one of these days instead of getting whistles and cat calls I'll just hear laughter.
Trust me...You will ALWAYS have admirers. Noone is so bad as to not be noticed, and those who don't see the beauty in any person on the planet, doesn't have enough of a mind for you to pay attention to their opinion. It's a win/win.

...i smoked in my house - but it's really nice to come home now and not be hit in the face with the stench of stale cigarette smoke!

i used to blow smoke in my dog's face when i wanted him to leave me alone - always worked! he would back away, sneezing and looking at me reproachfully. now, when i vape in his face, he cocks his head, looks a little puzzled...but stays put! guess i'll have to find another way to keep him from being so obsequious!

my ashtray has been on top of the fridge for about six weeks now...

and i've almost reached the break even point on cost - which is good 'cuz i just got laid off from my job of 22 years!

My dogs actually start sniffing around like I'm eating something. They seem to enjoy the scent. :)

I agree 100% with all the positives stated, I do have one negative and I'm almost embarrassed to mention this one. Smoking helped keep me {blushing} regular, vaping does not seem to have that same effect. Guessing it has something to do with all the other gunk I got in my analogs, so I'm accepting this negative, but was curious if anyone else found the same. LOL

I hate that I love it so much. I try not to feel guilty for the ecig affair...
Parts breaking- big problem and annnoying! Its a fun hobby, but its not a cheap one.
I hate when I cant get juice!
I can play ball and not get winded. I can run way faster now. I am happier with myself and health....this morning I had a very big craving for a real ciggy, my ecig got me thru, even with low nic in it. Had I not had it, I know I would have sneaked a cig!

I sure think I have saved a BUNCH of money over the analogs I would have smoked...saving me a BUNCH.

I have not noticed that effect, but I had problems with that when I was on analogs....sooooo,
And this is exactly the kind of input that I am looking for here..the pros and cons that noone talks about in normal conversation.
Thanks.

I experience the same thing. Since I chain vape, I attribute it to the nicotine. Prior to getting involved with e-cigs I ran across several websites that report constipation as being one of the minor side effects.

The advantages to e-cigs are many.

The disadvantages in my opinion.....

1. The cost. So far with me, vaping is slightly more expensive than analogs for the same time period. FDA involvement I fear will only drive up the costs not too mention if the states start wanting a share of the taxes they are missing.

2. Priority Mail shipping and handling on purchases. When I first started vaping, purchasing a couple of attys here, a bottle of juice there, started to get a little expensive when factoring in the S&H. Be nice to see vendors have a First Class postal rate option on smaller items so a person doesn't have to max the shopping cart to take advantage of the Priority Mail rate.

2. Atomizers. Atomizers are the achilles heel of vaping. The power source, juice and cart fillers can all be replicated easily by the consumer or made by state side vendors. Atomizers on the other hand are a Chinese product with high maintenance and a limited life span. While a fancy Prodigy or Screw Driver would be nice thing to have, a quality made in U.S.A. atomizer that is guaranteed to last a couple of months would be nicer.
