Hi all- new member here

So i recently purchased a Hannya for one of my mech mods (Noisy Cricket), and have loved it thusfar. Only issue I've begun to notice is that it gets hot.. Like lip-scalding level heat. That wan't so much what was worrying me, but rather the fact that my mech gained a bit of heat as well with a few very solid hits. Has anyone else experienced this with this particular rda and/or Cricket? I've checked and double checked the math and coils and while I'm sure that I'm within a safe operating level, is it possible for the rda's heat to cause a thermal runaway?

A few notes- I'm running dual coil 26+30 Ni80 Claptons, 12 wraps at around the .65 ohm mark, Samsung 18650 25R's and have checked the contact points beneath the atty.. Just trying to err on the side of caution with this particular box/RDA combo.

I have that problem when I use a derringer. The heat will radiate it down into the mech mod. This happens a lot if the atomizer sits flush with the mod. A solution I found, was to add a 510 heat sink between the atomizer and the mod. it doesn't stop the heat, but it definitely helps with it going to the mod.

Also, I like to keep a small gap from the atomizer to the heat sink, and a small gap between the heat sink and the mod. It keeps the mod within reason.

for the drip tip, get a hybrid or a POM.. those don't get hot.

Oh, also...the noisy cricket is a dual series battery. So, at a fresh charge with a 0.65 build, you're at around 100 watts...

4 batteries??? dual series? ;)
series = 2 or more, dual implies 2 sets, ergo 4 batteries ( heck maybe even more depending on how many batteries are in series :)

english... such a straight forward language ;)
