Hey folks. I'm not sure if all's well with my charger...

I have a Kr8 set. The charger has been a little bit fidgety. It's the kind that you just push in, rather than screwing it in. And sometimes you have to jiggle it around a bit to get it to work right, especially with one battery in particular.

I've had that battery in the charger for, I dunno, 4 hours now? Possibly longer?

It seemed to be working right. I went out to light some fireworks. Came back and it wasn't in right. Gave it a jiggle. It was in right again (red light on the USB charger, and red on the wall charge it's plugged into).

Now... it's a yellow light on the wall charger, and a red light on the USB charger. What's going on?

The battery itself seems to be fine. I get really good life out of it. The problem, I think is this charger.

Is the yellow light a bad thing? What's going on?

EDIT: Ok, now it's green on the wall charger and blue on the USB. So, done. But why on earth did that take so long?

What battery were you charging? Charging times vary greatly depending on the mh. Was it advertised as a fast charger or a trickle charger?

They're regular Kr808D-1 280mAh batteries. I have 4 in total, 3 manual and one auto.

The one that seems to be fussy is my silver manual battery. Like I said, I get great life out of it, but it doesn't seem to like the charger.

And the charger does need a bit of jiggling with all of my batteries before the lights go off like they're supposed to when it charges. Just moreso with that one in particular.

I believe it's a regular charger? Came with my starter kit from Electro Nic Stix. There's a USB charger which plugs in to a wall adapter. I typically use it with the wall adapter because the positioning of my USB ports makes it harder to jiggle around until it's in right. :glare:

Since it's just one battery you're struggling with it may be that it's not getting a good connection. No too long ago I read about using a Q-Tip and some rubbing alcohol to clean the end of the battery. I couldn't believe how gunky the end of my batteries were and none of them looked dirty at all. I wasn't having a problem, but that has to affect the connection to the charger. Just a thought...
