I had one that was a real pain like that also. It ended up being a problem with one (knock off) battery not making proper contact with one particular charger. After I bought another charger that finicky battery charged on the new charger. That was the only battery that gave me a problem with that charger. I don't know if you mentioned it but do you have more than one ego battery? Does this problem happen with all of your batts?

Have you tried plugging the USB cord into your computer USB port?

Yeah he did :(

Thanks again for all the help folks, plugging the usb charger into the pc was the only way I could charge my batteries, now it's not working either.

Maybe try leaving it alone after it flashes the first time, meaning don't screw it down any further after the first set of flashing.

Once it starts flashing, it doesn't stop until I screw it in further. I have had the battery die on me before and it would flash then it would simply be dead. Now it flashes, (the 4-flash pattern), every time you hit the button but nothing...
Got stressed out and bought a pack because of all this. I was doing good too...

I don't think this is a mass production problem. With the amount of this product being produced, your bound to get a bad one now and then.

The best solution to make sure you have a backup plan in place in the event that disaster does strike. This could mean having and extra charger and battery around, networking with some vapors in your area that have backups of their own that they could lend out and/or finding out is you have any local suppliers. In your case, I see you are in IL - I posted a link in this thread a few posts ago for Pilot Travel Centers - apparently they carry Njoy products although since I don't have any near me (that I'm aware of) I don't know what they have to offer or prices.

In my opinion, the most important thing is to order from a reputable vendor with a good warranty. I have been ordering from Liberty-flights.com lately and have had good luck with them. They offer a 6 month guarantee on their batteries v. 14 days others offer.

My ego kit came from Liberty Flights with the wall/usb charger. The wall charger lights up but the light on the charger itself never turns to red and doesnt charge the battery. When i use the usb charger I have to mess with it quite a bit to get it to turn to red and charge the battery. I tried contacting LF but haven't heard anything back yet. Should I just buy a replacement charger in the mean time and if so, from who? Thought LF was pretty good in the customer service dept???

I have the same problem as well. I ended up taking the USB and plugging it into my computer instead of using the wall adapter. It worked great then.

I don't think this is a mass production problem. With the amount of this product being produced, your bound to get a bad one now and then.

It's definitely bigger than the normal 1-5 per hundred units (guessing) fault rate - perhaps not a mass production issue but definitely a large, bad batch.

Same exact problem here. Two of my friends ordered at the same time and one also has the exact problem, the other has the same issue sometimes but other times his batteries are charging fine. Another forum I frequent has 3 people with the same problem - not sure how many people are having problems here but it seems like at least 2-3 and probably more to come.

We ordered from healthcabin and while service has been good, I had to send back the two batteries and charger which cost me $15 (just for my unit, not including friends) They have already dispatched my replacement order (without waiting for the faulty ones to arrive) which is the best service I could hope for....but waiting for my replacements from china will probably take a month or so, bit of a bummer but these things happen.

If anyone is thinking of ordering an ego, stay away from the large/high turnover shops for a week or two. Smaller, local based shops should be OK since they'll most likely have older stock, but they may have problems in the coming weeks/months as this bad batch trickles down the line.

I'd recommend health cabin despite this problem...very tricky to catch these kinds of things when you're moving so much stock. But - if you do go with them make sure you have backup, postage usually takes a week but can take up to a month with china registered post.

They have a 6 month warranty on batteries and atomizers which is great if you're making bigger orders. Good prices also. Order twenty attys, I'd say at least 10 would fail in 6 months - send them back all at once - get 10 new ones :)
