The scenario: vaping along, all is well. A metallic taste develops. I blame it on metal drip tip. Aluminum, stainless steel, whatever. After a break, it might fade.
We all have different chemistry, but at times I get a tightness in my throat. Doctor told me to pop an antacid like Tums. Works great. Seems the acid vapor or whatever wisps up on occasion, leafing to a bad sense or tase in the mouth. No big deal. Can be ignored, but I knock it out with a tums.
Turns out, doing this when the metal taste appears kills the metal taste. The mouth can react to increased acidity with the production of base saliva, which effects how you taste... You guessed it... Metal.
Grain of salt, mileage varying, etc. but worth an experiment for yourself perhaps.
