The button on my reo grand constantly slips into lock mode. Is there a way to get at it and make the twisting action on the button stiffer?
No, it'll hang up and bad things will happen.the locking mechanism looks like a stiff piece of wire which juts out from the button. If I was able to get at the wire and bent it down so that it presses into the base, that might work, no?
True it will eventually acquire some build upAs an aside - once you get some dirt and crap built up in there it'll turn less freely anyway!

If you really watch your finger when your pushing the button you are actually turning the button . once you make a mental note of it you will stop doing it . Of course you could adjust the positive contact but I never recommend people do this unless there really mechanical . I use the stock button and mine never slips into the locked position . Of course you can remove the dowel and it will never lock
I can make one that is snug if you want one or I can adjust yours not a problem . It has everything to do with were the hole is drilled in the button . I use so many different paints I have to find a happy medium and go with it . Whats perfect on one mod will be to lose on another depending on the thickness of the paint being usedSomeone earlier in the thread said your making a new switch? Is this true? Any improvement in the locking mechanism? It bugs me, sorry.

He is slippery.actually, i believe the Modmaster has a hidden agenda...
pm me your email with a list of everything you want I will send a invoiceNot sure how the paint affects it so I hope we're talking about the same thing. If you think it's possible for me to insert the new switch with little difficulty, I'd be grateful to take the first option. No point wasting money shipping a roundtrip. If you give me a total amount for the switch + shipping to Ireland. I can paypal it to you with my address. Your 6ml bottle caps (with the hole) seemed to be out of stock when I ordered so if you could charge me for two of them also if you have them in stock, I'd appreciate it it too.
Many thanks.
