If you want a Reo that never locks then you can just push the locking pin into the body of the delrin firing pin - but this is irreversible. There is no stiffness adjustment on the delrin pin because it just sits in a slot. You might try covering the firing button in a bit of tape to make it a tighter fit.

To get at it - you need to remove the delrin button cover that the feed tube goes thru - be careful not to strip this screw when re-assembling.

Just a note from my experience--I had the same problem and since I never used the locking mechanism anyway, I chose to push the pin into the button as Supertrunker describes. Didn't work out for me very well though because the button then began to hang-up and a melt-down almost occurred with the button stuck in the firing mode. I contacted Robert for directions about totally removing the locking pin, removed it, and have been a happy vapor ever since. You may want to keep the locking pin intact but if you choose to remove it, I'd be happy to walk you through it.:)

You may also find that it becomes second nature to turn the firing pin 1/4 every time you pick the Reo up. If you modify the pin and negate the locking feature - there is of course nothing to stop it firing in your pocket as Bushmaster describes.

I leave mine alone and just turn it anti-clockwise fully every time i use it - it's not as big of a drag as it sounds.

If you really watch your finger when your pushing the button you are actually turning the button . once you make a mental note of it you will stop doing it . Of course you could adjust the positive contact but I never recommend people do this unless there really mechanical . I use the stock button and mine never slips into the locked position . Of course you can remove the dowel and it will never lock

^^^^That. Once it gets a little "gunky" it'll tighten itself up. I pushed my pin into the delrin button on one of my Mini REOs and it worked just fine (permanently disables the lock function, you understand,) but since that first one I've learned to be a little patient and the problem has taken care of itself on all the following REOs.

I can make one that is snug if you want one or I can adjust yours not a problem . It has everything to do with were the hole is drilled in the button . I use so many different paints I have to find a happy medium and go with it . Whats perfect on one mod will be to lose on another depending on the thickness of the paint being used

Not sure how the paint affects it so I hope we're talking about the same thing. If you think it's possible for me to insert the new switch with little difficulty, I'd be grateful to take the first option. No point wasting money shipping a roundtrip. If you give me a total amount for the switch + shipping to Ireland. I can paypal it to you with my address. Your 6ml bottle caps (with the hole) seemed to be out of stock when I ordered so if you could charge me for two of them also if you have them in stock, I'd appreciate it it too.

Many thanks.

I sent it to your support email address with the subject line:
1x new switch with stiff locking mechanism + 2 x 6ml Bottle & Tube Kit

I don't want to use ECF's pm system. Pretty sure my inbox is filled up.

Cheers.
