I ordered a 30ml bottle of Betelgeuse back on the 15th, and choose the $2.50 First-Class package service as the $5.75 for priority option is just a little too much for just a single $15 bottle of juice, on a large order this becomes a clear choice. Anyways, Kent got it out on the 16th and the tracking has been saying it departed a local USPS Facility on the 19th with an expected delivery day of Saturday, December 20th which has came and gone. Looking at the site after the fact, it seems I am S.O.L since I did not spring for the priority shipping. Is there any recourse at all for items sent using First-Class package service? Should I try to contact the post office or should I just move on?

Order ID is #33900

Thanks.

I had the same thing happen to me. Except it was JNOY. Did not get a tracking number though. And my order was for $70!!! Total loss for me. I'm not sure about your incident with the tracking number. I would get ahold of Nicoticket on the 26th (they are out today and tomorrow) to see what to do.

Good luck!

If USPS loses something and you didn't buy insurance then well it's just gone, don't think they will do anything.
NT already did their job so I don't think they will replace it because USPS lost it so calling them will just be a waste of time for both parties.
Like others said I would just wait it out, shipping is crazy right now and it might have missed a scan and might be found and put back on it's way.

Give it some time. Last year the snail service took 2 weeks to deliver some vape mail that was sent priority mail. There is a contact form on the USPS site. I filled it out last year and my local Postmaster actually called me about the package.

I'm in the same boat this year with an Odin I should have received last week. It just left Anaheim this morning. USPS is hit or miss this time of the year...

Actually to contradict, USPS will try their hardest to find the missing package if it's lost, you can put in a request to try and find it. The issue is this time of year, there are so many packages they disappear constantly as they get mis-sorted by machine, or mistrucked or what have you. USPS unfortunately doesn't do even close to this volume of packages any other time of the year and they don't really have the manpower to do it when they do.
Wait a bit, chances are it will show up.
My own package got here about a week late, after touring every state from Nebraska to Florida, and then every state from Florida to Ohio.
Though they won't do anything for about a week after they don't have /any/ communication from the package.

Contact your local post office and let them know what is going on. Don't mention the value of the item of its significance. Just let them know you have a package that has gone awol and give them the tracking. They will find it. These packages don't just disappear. Especially when they are labeled like Kent does. Clear and easy to read and scan. It will turn up. I'd call them and keep calling until it gets resolved.

I was just saying that if it is lost (never to be found) then the USPS isn't going to replace it or reimburse you for it.

Like others have posted give it some time. I ordered two Odin's on the 12th and on the 16th it listed as shipping label created and stayed that way until today, now it is finally making some progress it seems. Right after I filed a PayPal dispute which now I kind of feel bad about because it wasn't Loki Labs fault at all. Sadly USPS just sucks and sucks even worse during the holidays.

Thanks for the insight folks, I ended up finding the contact form on the USPS website and submitted it. Currently, the last line of the tracking is December 19, 2014 , 6:06 pm Departed USPS Facility LAS VEGAS, NV 89199 and nothing since then. I will just continue to wait I guess, if it never shows then ooh well. I don't think I will bother bugging Kent and the crew about this as it not their fault and I did not pony up the extra cash for insurance.

If it doesn't say delivered, it hasn't been delivered to the wrong address or stolen, so is still in transit...

Ha, it looks like the contact form does make it to the local office. I just got a call from them and it was just magically found and scanned. The guy apologized and said it was delayed do to weather. Which I don't really understand or believe as it was already in Vegas before the "weather delay" and the weather here has been totally uneventful (mid's 50's) and could not possibly explain a 5 day trip to make it the 8 miles from the USPS hub to my post office. I am not trying to dwell, just never been particularly fond of being lied to, but they are a federal entity so it may just be par for the course lol. Anyways, the delivery date has been changed once again to Friday, December 26, an entire week later than the original delivery date but I guess late is better then never.

Just for giggles, the 18 minute, 8.2 mile route that took 5 days due to "weather":

You did the right thing, using the web form. I have used it many times and always got a response within a few hours and it was always "found" when they did contact me. Doesn't matter if it is first class or priority, they respond the same for me.

I am with you on the lying, but you cannot change the character of that individual.

I was waiting for a package from the US earlier this month, (not NT) and the tracking showed it arriving at Heathrow London on 8th. It never left the airport for the sort facility/customs ...on 10th, the tracking told me it had arrived in New Zealand!!!
Nothing has changed at all on the tracking since 10th.
It hasn't been delivered, never shown as processing through any sort facility in the UK or NZ, so it has to be somewhere ...in a bin because someone couldn't be bothered to deal with it? Who knows.
If it had been discovered and dealt with properly, it would have been back in the UK by now.

In an ideal world, Santa would be dropping it off down the chimney as he passes tonight!
