What kind of magic is 7 wraps of triple 26ga wire under 0.30ohm? Are you using that gplat write as well? Wicked big coils for a 0.14ohm build. I'm jealous not complaining BTW bud!

Edit: the more I think about it is just 26ga is that good huh? I usually run 2x 28ga in some fashion..

for sure kind of a thread jack by here we go
I do 80%VG 20%distilled water and at a 5% flavoring of TFA's Black honey tobacco, it has a long steep time so I mix it in huge batches but it has such a light and subtle honey flavor I can't get enough of it.

That sounds delicious! I'd buy a bottle!

Nice, can almost see my reflection, how does it vape in a squonker?

Thanks treehead, :)

Appologies for getting your name wrong the other day. I honestly hadn't noticed until you said.

The coil was a long time ago but from memory it was one of my favourites and I think I left it in for a couple of months.

Tobh..h cigar... I love parallel, "parallel" coils....28awg..I think.

I'm trying to find my quad origen build..two sets of series coils..26awg

Guess I didn't get a picture of it..but I loved it...pain in the ... to get two strands of 26awg under the hex/allen screw in origen..popped off rewicking..I wasn't in the best of moods, so it got ripped out after a good long while of trying to get them to make contact.. I'll try one with 28.. probably just make it a full parallel, "parallel" quad as well. I have afc ring removed..yeahsmo v1 clone -so 4 sets of the 3holes.... wide open... if I had a new vtc, I'd push it until it got hot...I think that'll be in the miliohm range though..lol

Edit- I like 28 if I'm above 0.4, but 26 seems to be the best for dual wire builds if you can fit the coil on the deck/airflow area. I'm going to cut that stupid tab off my tobh.. cuz I'd prefer the setup I have in it right now in 26, but it is too big to keep in the small area of the tobh.

How in the holy livin' hell are you gettin' your 91% to wick with a parallel coil? I've built single and dual microcoils from 3/64 through 5/64, and from 0.9Ω to 1.1Ω, no wicking issues whatsoever. Use the same style wicking (fold the cotton up after pullin' it through the coil, put on the chimney, cut it semi-close to the top, fold it gently back down from the outside in, juice 'n' test, close up and fill) in a 30 ga., 0.9Ω, 1/16" parallel coil and boom, dry hits, no matter how loose or tight I get the damn airflow, unless I'm vapin' down at 16W or 17W, which is rather unsatisfying compared to a dual micro at the same ohms... :( Could I just have that one 91% that needs to have its juice channels ground out, or do you have a different than "normal" wick setup?

-Laters...!

Don't fold your wick for sure, try using Kho Gen Do cotton (lightly), or even better Cellu-Cotton. It wicks so much better, I personally like Shiseido cotton for wicking speed (that's all you need). But yeah, I drilled out my wicking channel's on my Russian, and it's a whole new animal. I can build a .15 coil in'er now, and only if I'm chain vaping does she ever get dry. And even then I just block the airflow, and suck it like a hoover to refill. It's all about knowing how your device works brother. Be one with the wick, if that fails, then be one with the drill.

~Sorry I'm drunk.

Triple parallel duals, 7 wraps of 26ga around a 1.5mm steel dowel, 0.14 ohms.

heats up very fast for the amount of wire in there, very happy with the performance.

Beautiful, only a brass monkee could handle that much pretty wire! I bet that vapes amazingly, probably done with that space jam bottle by now too eh? :p

No honestly I thought it was funny, and that IS a way cooler name lol. I can see how similar the names are for sure .

Looks like a nice setup, not easy to trap 2 wires under a post! Nice wicking too, I can tell it vapes great.

It is surprisingly easier than trapping a single wire on this particular atomizer. The screws are rounded so a single doesn't catch well. I have no idea why it has been easier to trap 4 of them instead of 2 though! I think just because I can control the wire better (more grip) when I'm cranking the screw down onto it.

Right on :D, I hear that too, my Stillare V1 had almost pointed screws, for whatever drunk engineers god-awful reason :rolleyes. If your confident in your tooling ability, I found a really awesome fix for that is to just hold a dremel steady on a desk, and carefully take off that little shoulder of the screws, making it into more of a right angle. Although it depends on the screws really, you don't want to tear off any threads lol. You look like you got it down anyway, who wants to single coil anyway?

I'm trying to get a dual "parallel" in origen with 26awg. Pulling my hair out...talk about a mess of wire legs when it's setup. I can't get the dual wire build in it though.. quad coil (2in series).

I'm tired of stupid post holes and screw heads for contacts...

That doesn't sound easy brother! Maybe twisting the legs of the parallel coil will make life easier? I did that recently to make the wires fit better, not to mention a better connection anyway. I clamped the legs as close to the coil body as possible, so when I twisted the legs together, it wouldn't mess up the parallel coil.

Kinda like this, but make the silly coil I made a parallel, same idea. Hope you get it down though man, I bet that'll be a hell of an origen build.

Yeah, the guys that use the rebuildable cartos like the sophia diver, killer use them BC they have to build a coil and trap the extended nr legs around a ceramic cup that is inserted into the carto. There are a few write-ups on building then for ten bucks or so, I'd do it but I'm a lazy .......
