Now that I got this killer Dimitri box, I can post the footage I recorded for my Samurai clone. I didn't put the whole build in the video, because I decided to keep it down to 5 minutes. Samurai is huge flavor and huge vapor. It begs to be built at low resistances with the airflow options and large post holes. Its a perfect combo for a dual parallel box.

I gotta check this video out when I get a min. I never really liked the way the samurai looked (call me crazy I know), but I keep hearing good things about it.

Well, I've been talking on this thread a bunch but not posting any pics of my own. All of my vape gear pics are on my phone, and since tapatalk updates have gone to sh&$ recently, I've lost my ability to post pics. But I did get a new tablet for Xmas, so here's what I'm vaping on now. It's a FM copper mod clone with a project subohm doge ontop. I guess the doge doesn't really count as a clone since it's an original design.... but it's still China made and vape budget friendly. Loving this setup right now. I've been taking it to work for the past few weeks.

Looks like I need a Samurai now. Where did you get yours?

I mentioned it in the video, but I got mine from rbavapor.com. Fasttech is now selling a version that also has 4 AFC rings, but I cannot be certain it is the same manufacturer. I would look to see if anyone has left any info in the FT discussions if you are trying to save money, but the one I have from rbavapor is excellent.

It looks more normal with the 510 top cap that it also comes with. I have a pretty decent collections of RDAs though, and something that looks different often attracts me, such as the way they designed that wide-bore top cap. The threading on both caps are perfect, but I really like the wide-bore cap because it doesn't get hot, it keeps my coils cool, and I just think its a neat looking design. But, of course, there is always the option of using the other top cap.

magma and SMPL clones. set up is ok. but SMPL has same limitation as some other mods. it doesn't like atty with long 510. the button is about .5 mm outside of the bottom of the mod. other than that, nice hitting mod. teleos delta is nice sweet liquid.

I've had mixed results with the SMPL mod myself. I have two different versions, one copper with the none 1:1 button (you know, the one with just a normal flat head screwdriver contact on it. I also have a SS one that has the 1:1 switch style with the C clamp on it (kinda like the GUS mods have).

The copper one although doesn't have the real switch, is actually machined out of one piece of metal.... but the threading is ever so slightly crooked which makes any atomizer attached to it have a slight gap on one edge were it doesn't sit flush with the mod. Drives my turrets syndrome crazy, can't even use it.

The SS one has the correct button, but the mod is not made from one solid piece of metal like the copper one is. You can see a slight line were they press fit the cap\top onto the mod. But at least this one the 510 was drilled straight so attys sit nice and flush on it.

Both of the versions buttons seem to get a little warm on super subohm builds. But the C clamp original style switch seems to be better in that area and also is smoother of a throw. All in all I wasn't as in pressed as I thought I was gonna be. I want to like them, but the issues mentioned kinda turned me off a bit. I wanna try out the real one someday if possible to see how much better it is and see if a super low build won't get a warm button. I have the tool to take the C clamp thing off, so I might try and replace the spring with something stronger or maybe a magnet. I did touch a real one at a vape shop the other day, and the switch felt a lot better than the two I have.maybe they'll let me through a atty and battery in it and take it for a test drive. It's cheap enough to if I fell in love with it I could grab one when my tax returns come in.

On a side note; I hear the A-Mod versions are pretty darn good. Oh course, the one I didn't get :( i just didn't like the fact they printed A-Mod logo on the switch. Main thing that kept me away. Not because I now couldn't pretend it was a authentic, I always let anyone know my clones are clones if they ask about them, I just thought it was weird that A-Mod threw their stamp on the switch. they didn't do that to the anarchist mod or others they made. Oh well.

I actually like that my SMPL has A-Mod on the switch in a normal font. I don't really like the off-centered cursive of the Epic Design logo. It would be cooler though, if there was some kind of engraved image rather than a text logo, I think.
How about the mod in general, you like it? Does it function good and the atty to mod edges all match up flush.

my SMPL is 1:1 clone from the FT. so far it's doing great. the button is very smooth. i changed the atty out with tobh v2, and at .4 ohm, it's hitting very nice. intense taste. i'm thinking about getting some VTC4 and see if i can push it lower to .2 ohm or so to see what it will taste like. all cloud science juices were good. had to drain last drop of alpha the other day.

Question for those who posted the angelicigs Victoria Bamboo clones:

These clones are selling for pretty cheap and there aren't really many reviews available for them. I know they look awesome, but do they function perfectly? I am looking for a white mod to pair with a white troll rda that I just picked up.

That's my wife's mod/pics.
They are very well made devices.
The only thing I would point out is the magnet system used in the switch.
It's not bad, works flawlessly.. But has a threaded delrin retainer that holds one magnet in place. In time the threads could wear and strip.
If you are rough with it it could strip the threads.

That said, my Valkyrie has one as well and I've never had a single issue....and it's seen a lot of use.
Kpr loves her bamboo and hasn't had any problems.

I got real ...... at my Victoria Bamboo clone today when it stopped working towards the end of my workday. It had worked perfectly for days and suddenly the switch wasn't working. I could tell it was the switch because if I shorted the negative battery contact to the metal of the mod, the atty would fire. So I took the whole thing apart while at work and did my best to clean it with what I had available. Put it all back together. no go. I drove home upset and started using my building tools to look at it when I got home. I found that the negative contact in the tube had somehow worked its way up slightly to far. I was able to screw it back down. It is now working perfectly again and fires everytime. This is the first mod I have owned with a negative contact that is separate from the switch, secured in the tube and does not appear removable. Thankfully it is working perfectly again and I am loving it. But it is a bit difficult to get at that tube contact the way this thing is designed.
