Looks like I'm taking a road trip up to Nash, for some juice.

The prices on the kits don't seem to bad when you figure in no shipping or sales tax.
$60 for a joye 510 kit with 2 attys and 2 batts, is far from horrible. The 401 and 808s are even less.
Too bad they don't have parts for the 4081, I'm really starting to dig that little beast. "

Ahhh the days when a RN4081 could be considered a good vape...

Hi, I'm HauntedMyst from Chicago. I'm quitting cigs! I bought a new ego thingy and that the guy said was a "bottom feeding tank" called a Protank. I assumed it was a suppository alternative for smoking. I can't taste any flavor and now my ... hurts. Can anyone help with this?

I remember being a noob. It was also the first time Robino1 yelled at me.

Has anyone tried the new "COLIBRI" model e-cig from epuffer?

Likes? Dislikes? Opinions on epuffer in general?

Thanks in advance.

lol it also had 140 replies. Funny thing, I still have this overpriced Colibri ecig. I used to think I was so cool with my look-alike cig pack with built in charger and filter attachments. Good times haha.

My FIRST post... looked like this...

So I'm new, Live and work in Saitama.

Nice to meet you all.

Anyways, I was hoping someone could teach me a little... i dont really know how to do it....
Is it just, I can order from any website and not have a problem with the shipping?

Also I wanna buy a starter kit.... Any suggestions on where to buy one? A place in Japan, A nice ECig, (metal preferably.... Good battery.... no prob shipping to Japan.... feels close to smoking a real cigarette)

And a place that also sells a variety of Flavors and Powers of nic juice?
And then of course... no problems with getting it here....
Please help

Ah so young and naive. Lol

Now Im gunna go vape on my 0.2 ohm coil on my regulated box mod at 65 watts, and maybe go build another coil just to feel not stupid again lol

Time to introduce myself

I have been lurking around for a while. Posting here and there. Bought my first e-cig at our local smoke store. Way to expensive for what came in the kit but hey, a girls gotta start somewhere. Somehow stumbled across ECF and as the saying goes, never looked back. Took me about a day to decide that this is the only way to go.
I smoked analogs for about 40 years and like most of y'all tried everything to get that monkey off my back. Had no idea just how easy it would be with e-cigs. I have been analog free since 11-13-11

'nough for now. Thanks to all of y'all that keep this forum running so smoothly.

Default Hello ECF...Thanks For Being Here!

First post here, my name is Duane. Been vaping for a week and a half now and not going back. I got off a 2-1/2 pack a day habit and this has been the easiest transition yet for me in my battle:) I went with the Inferno, then grabbed a Lava Tube after a few days. I'm vaping 70/30 at 8mg and 16mg and still trying different flavors. I've already learned a bunch here and figured I'd join and get the full experience.
:vapor:

P.S. a couple of those inferno batteries still function...2/21/15

9-16-2014 "New to forum...not to Vaping.

I just wanted to say hi to everyone here. I have been currently vaping for about a month now (2nd attempt after a year break) and would love to say that I have cut back from a pack of little cigars to about 2-3 smokes avg. after smoking analog for over 28 years. I am hoping to get back to where it was hard enough to smoke 1/4 of one at any given time. Happy Vaping to everyone!!! "

Well looks like I surpassed that and went on to no Analogs anymore ;)

Actually my 2nd post in my First thread. Most of the original was lost when the system logged me out. Thanks everyone!
I stopped a 45 yr habit (1-1.5pad) Aug 6 and haven't looked back. Tried to quit a few times over the years with 0 success. This
time I just know I'm done and Vaping makes it that much simpler.
I have gotten so much useful information off the boards and am very grateful there is a place for people to swap all their experiences.

I think I have spent to much getting into this but it has been worth it. All the toys and juices - some at retail - some at wholesale. I
think I have accumulated $1200 worth of stuff (spent $500) in the last 45 days. Kind of blew my next years budget. Anyway, with
(4) m401's, (4)510's, (11) different Egos, dozens of carts, tanks, catromizers, clearomizers and enough E-liquids to last a year, I
think I'm good to go for a while.
LOL - Like that will happen. Already reading up on DIY stuff and looking at VV setups.

I think I found a new addiction.

Over 2yrs later I can confirm I found a new addiction....................(2) actually, Vaping and collecting Vaping junk.:lol::lol:
I also like helping newer members when I can.:)

As always
Be safe and Vape on :vapor:

What really helped me sort things out was this:

1. Shop around at vendors to get an idea of products, their costs and availability

2. Watch some reviews of products on youtube.

3. Read up on specific issues related to said products here on ecf.

4. Repeat, keeping a list of gear that appeals to you as well as gear that does not.

Eventually you'll figure out what you want and how much you want to spend and who you're going to buy from. Everyone has different needs.

After lurking for a year, I apparently chimed in with some know-it-all sounding, yet vaccuous advice. Not much has changed! :vapor:

Here's mine...
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/23327-newbie-what-do-you-guys-think.html

I have been smoking somewhere between 3 and 10 cigarettes per day for about 25 years.
Last night my sister hooked me up with a few drags off her new RN4081 (NPRO) after dinner.
This was the first time I had ever tried an electronic cigarette, and I am pretty excited about it.

I have been reading this forum all morning, and saw the video by Spikey, so I think I am starting to get a decent handle on the the various types and models, and the pluses and minuses of each.

Smoking as (relatively) infrequently as I do, I don't think that battery life will be so much of an issue, but I could be wrong.
I don't inhale deeply or take big drags in general, so I don't think I need a ton of vapor, but I could be wrong.

The one thing I do know is I want something close to cigarette sized.
I understand that neither the battery charge nor the cartridge life is going to be optimal for something that size.

Finally, I should probably point out that money is no object, and yet I still figure I will eventually be refilling my own cartridges.

So I am leaning towards the DSE 910 but I would like thoughts on how it compares to the RN4081 (NPRO) since that is the only thing I have ever tried. I am also wondering if there might be any other good options for my circumstances that I have not yet considered before I go out and buy all the extra parts I need for backup.

Some information that might factor in the decision...

I do plan to clean my atomizer frequently.
I do plan to refill cartridges myself.

I would appreciate ANY input, suggestions, or thoughts...

Thanks!!

Hmm - how do you FIND your really old posts?
I went to "last page" of my "recent posts" but it doesn't go all the way back...
Use the Advanced Search link...
Change it to Search Single Content Type...

So now you are searching for posts by you.

Change it to ascending order...
Change it to posts instead of threads...

My first post here was after I had been lurking for a while and I had just gotten into mods. I was part of a few facebook groups but they were mean and condescending when I didn't want to immediately get into mechanical mods. I came here looking for electronic pipes, because I thougt (and still do) think they are the coolest thing i've ever seen.

"E-Pipe, Like A Sir" 04-03-2014, 12:37 AM
" I have a couple of mods now and one thing I have really taken an interest in is E-Pipe wooden style mods. I really want to find a good one, and one that doesn't completely destroy me money-wise.

E Pipe 618 E Pipe Imitate Solid Wood Design Old Fashioned with Gift Package C | eBay

Now this is the one I'm looking at so far. I would probably switch out the batteries though, with ones I trust (although I don't have any experience with what I think are 18350 Batteries. If anyone could recommend trust worthy ones (and a charger for it) or tell me if those are good, I would be so thankful)

I don't think there would be anything more sophisticated than sitting at home after a long day at work with my feet propped up, vaping on an E-Pipe"

My first Forum post here (on "Hi, I'm New Here":
46
Male
26 years on analog, 1-2 pk/day full strength Reds from the "No-Bull" company.

Despite my Screen name, I am relatively new to vaping and am in no way a "cloud chaser", though I do like heavy vapor.

I have been vaping for 3 weeks, and while I haven't completely ditched the analogs yet, (I have a target date of 8/2) I am down to 3-5 per day.

i started with a Kanger mini pro 3 tank on a Spinner 2 battery rig (please excuse any incorrect terminology) using a 50-50 PG/VG 18 mg tobacco flavor juice called Casino 21.

Recently (2days) I got a Kanger Aero mini on an itazte VV battery rig, using a 100% VG 12 mg Red Cowboy nicotine, and this setup is much more to my liking.

i still have to find the right PG/VG balance and I suspect it is around 25/75 PG/VG.

My first outside the New Member playpen:
Am I the only one who hates the term "Analog" ???

Analog - I hate it. Not the actual thing people mean when thay say that, but rather the word. It is stupid, it doesn't make any sense. I don't know about any of the rest of you ex-smokers, but when I smoked, I smoked, ... da da da da ... CIGARETTES! OMG!

I never went to the store, and bought a pack of analogs, I bought a pack of cigarettes. Why do people say that? Are they afraid that if they say the word CIGARETTE, they will somehow be drawn under it's evil spell and be back to smoking again against their will? Do they think everytime the word cigarette is used, Big Tobacco make 46 cents? Is it some d-ba* hipster need to have some goofy lingo of their own?

There are basically 2 uses of the word analog. The first one refers to something that is a stand in for something else. The second refers to continuous signal mechanisms vs digitized or pulse mechanisms.

So what about the first one? I mean think about it. A cigarette isn't an analog. An electronic cigarette is an analog of a tobacco cigarette. The E-cig is the equivalent, the cigarette is the standard.

<Enter the "But an E-Cig is digital, so the regular kind have to be analog" people>

Wrong again. While an E-cigarette may be digital, the analog/digital usage of those words only really applies to mechanism, a tobacco cigarette isn't a mechanism. Analog vs digital refers to the waveform produced by the function. How do you mechanize burning tobacco?

If anything, there shouldn't be any fear or reluctance to use the word cigarette to refer to , well, cigarettes, the hesitency should be in using "E-cig" for personal vaporizers. It makes no sense to associate them with cigarrettes, and then not think the dolts at the FDA, won't say, "Hey, wait a minute, you said electronic 'cigarette', that makes it a tobacco product.

I will continue to say cigarette, and while I won't personally chastise anyone else for being goofy enough to say analog, think about it, it is silly and pretentious.

Not too different from others. I lurked for about a month before making a post. If memory serves, at this point I already had my eGo kit about a week. With it's two batteries, a couple of 510 atomizers, and a pack of 5 carts. And a sample pack of 3ml juice bottles.

I still feel like I'm getting away with something by vaping indoors or in a closed up car.

I think I still have a pack and a half of the smokes mentioned in my first post somewhere. Last time I got the urge to try one was early 2011 sometime. It was that unremarkable.

Needing to up my nic level was prophetic. It took 36mg juice to snap the cravings for a real one, still use 26mg today. Mainly due to better equipment getting more of it in me. But that's ok. I'm not trying to go to zero and don't care.

I got into the workouts for about three years after this, until the business I started got in the way of the routine so much that I stopped. I was doing a powerlifting routine. Vaping improved my health enough to clear a major threshold I had hit. My big lifts (squat and dead lift) were maxed at around 225lb. After a set I was completely winded and soaked with perspiration. My personal records for those lifts reached 395lb for squat (5 sets of 5 reps) and 425 for dead lift (2 sets of 5).

So yeah, vaping has improved my life.

So far so good (08/30/2010)
I read the WSJ article last week and got curious about e-cigs. So after a frenzy of webucation, I ordered an eGo kit that came in Saturday.

I've been smoking 30 years and, like many, have attempted to quit a few times. My problem has been that I really enjoy smoking and when quit, I end up obsessing over it until I finally cave in - the last time was just over a year quit. To make matters worse, I started working out at a gym figuring I might cancel out a few coffin nails by improving my overall health. Now I've gotten in pretty good shape and the cigs are canceling out my workouts!

So this time, I figured a no pressure approach. I'd try vaping and not stress too much about quitting. I buy cigs by the carton and still have a few packs on hand. So starting Saturday afternoon I've dropped to 4-5 analogs a day down from almost a pack.

I've figured out two things that I'll "tune up" in the days to come:
I went conservative and ordered 12mg juice. After a bit more research, I just ordered higher nic juice.
I am an obsessively clean smoker. Not in the house, only in the car with the vent on fresh and a window cracked. Going outside is part of the habit.

I also ordered some cartomizers to see how that works out when I'm out and about. It just seems like the vape fades out a little too soon with the 3-piece setup. Probably because I'm hitting it too often with the lower nic juice.

An unexpected surprise: I ordered an assortment of small juices, expecting I would probably lean toward the ones that taste like real cigarettes. Well.. the preloaded carts (Marl - high) were nasty (no surprise there) and I really don't care for the tobacco flavors. On the other hand, I really like the cappuccino and a fruit mix that I ordered.

Still getting into the groove of "smoking" indoors and in the car with the windows up. I think when I get the right nic juice and develop my new habit a little more, I'll probably drop the analogs. Just not in any hurry

I was lucky enough to find ECF before I spent any money, and also to have specific enough needs and information that I avoided the "you out to get this expensive xyz device, 'cause you're gonna want it anyway" advice. From that thread I ended up getting two Innokin ITaste VV v3s, still my main PVs, and a Kanger Unitank that I later melted with hot cinnamon liquid.

Default Suggestions about hardware for someone with hand problems

I'm planning to try vaping in order to quit smoking analogs, and have been researching on line (not a lot of local shops in rural North Dakota). What I haven't been able to find out is how much dexterity is needed for the different systems. I have health problems that have left me with severe numbness. Part of why this is urgent is the risks involved in dropping lit cigarettes (poisoning myself with cigarettes is one thing, burning the house down is another).

How much dexterity and coordination do the different systems need? As examples of where I'm at, I can't type at all anymore but can use a touchscreen keyboard with a weighted stylus (and lots of autocomplete).

In the best of all possible worlds I would prefer something bright colored that does not look like a cigarette. I've been leaning toward an eGo type but can't tell how hard it would be to fill. When referring to using syringes would large ones work? How small/slippery are the juice bottles? I'm pretty good at adapting processes to what I can do. I've been smoking between 1 and 2 packs a day for 40 years (back to the high end since I can't work anymore) so it sounds like prefilled cartridges would be expensive.

Any and all ideas appreciated.

And then the house burned up three months later anyhow, but at least it wasn't my fault.

And, speaking of the great advice I got, I need to go over to the http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-vaping-discussion/654296-katya-five.html thread and thank her.:vapor:
