I need to try out a KFL+. Everyone keeps talkin about these things!!! It's driving me mad like I'm missin out! Are they that good or is everyone drunk?

Well, I am drunk but it is good. I said this in another post..........the Kayfun isn't "life changing" good but it is better. The flavor is more pronounced in the dripper than the Kayfun and I have found that it has to be completely right to work well. If you have experience building coils and using cotton, it should be easy. I bought the clear plastic chimney, tank, drip tip and whatever else it came with to see how it was working when I was having issues when I first bought it.

I have the KF 3.1 which is taller but has some features the KFL doesn't have.

KFL+ really does perform well. They do. HOWEVER...like everything else, they have draw backs.

In order to re-coil or re-wick them, they have to be drained of fluid.

They have tendencies to start flooding & leaking if the air flow is kept to a tight draw (which I like).

They have a bunch-o-tiny-parts that can get lost easily and those aren't readily available for replacement. I'm ok with that, as I like to tinker with stuff...:)

My personal favorite at the moment is the SQuape. Don't listen too much to me here, as I'm in a minority with that line of thinking. SQuapes are heavy, don't have adjustable air flow (but it's a tight draw, so it works for me) and it seems a lot of people have trouble flooding (That's a wicking issue that I've come to fully understand, but that's a different topic).

Kayfuns look nice, are fairly dependable, and work well when maintained properly. Kind of like owning a sports car :D

I also think they are really that good, I have 2 and I want 2 more, I know Darkgear did not like them, but I think he was in the minority on that, and sense it use's just Kanthal wire it is easy to build a coil, it will work, as long as the coil is off the deck, no matter how bad the coil looks. Heck even Bad has one now!

I have a Kayfun 3.1 clone. I have not used it much but I like it. Got a bit sidetracked by Sophias for a bit, but I am intending to use it in the near future.

I almost bought a clone last week just to try it. Wanted to see how different it is from the Sophia. Fortunately, I get distracted and never did buy one. Then I ended up buying the Microstick and Gus Aiolos off the classies so I decided to wait until I try the Gus Aiolos before buying anything new.
