I wonder if there is a shorter version of the 10440. I don't need long runtime

Not that I know of, unless it can be made into a flat internal battery pack. 10440 is about 43.43mm or so ....the problem isn't with runtime so much as heat. They heat up pretty fast when asked for power.

What battery size are they using inside of cigalikes? This type of item will not be used for long periods of time so heat might not be a huge problem. Regulated voltage at 3.7 would work with a good atomizer.

Sophia V2 like atomizer, a Precise Plus like battery tube, a shorter battery similar to a 10440, and a serviceable auto switch. This is doable if the switch can be worked out and if the battery exists.

Just remembered there is a mod by the makers of the Taifun atties, SmokerStore that makes a side button device that is slim. 19mm.

I would just use a Provari Mini instead of that. The reason I am looking for light weight is to use it hands free. Bite down on it and use the automatic switch. If it is not an automatic it isn't a hands free device. Weight is a big factor when you are just holding it with your teeth and you decelerate quickly.

I have gotten rid of all of my 19mm devices and don't want any more.

I am wanting a $200.00-$400.00 automatic cigalike.

The Provari Mini is as small as I am going to go on a device with a manual switch. I want to go much smaller on a device with an automatic switch.

I want a tiny device made to the same exacting quality standards as a Provari, just many times smaller.

Well, no offense to provape, but anyone who used the Super T Manufacturing stuff will tell you that it was high end, threads like butter, etc.

And understand, they ceased to exist. I am gonna guess that part of that would be that people don't WANT what you (we) want. There's just not enough market for it.

Look, I had a couple of provape-1s (way bigger than the precise plus) . I could barely get rid of them in the classies here. (that is, *until they stopped being produced*. I was wanting one again and it cracked me up that people were trying to sell me one for 4x what I sold mine for....I didn't want one THAT bad.) But the truth is, most people really do NOT want them. Saw one go on ebay for less than an istick recently.

And provape-1 had way more run-time than an ecab or Precise Plus 10440.

I just think the market for those things was back in 2009-2010. Most people really just don't want these things.

So, back to your question JJohhn (sorry for misspelling) ........YES it can be done. I just asked 2 aerospace engineers who helped design the space station. The prooblem isn't doing it, the problem is THERE HAS TO BE ENOUGH OF A MARKET..

And, I just don't think there is. :( To design it there has to be projected sales.

The precise might have nicer threads but the Provari is good enough for me when it comes to larger devices. I want a small automatic of equal quality that is suitable for active hands free use.

I would rather have a Provari Mini than a Provape 1 for 95% of my usage. The only reason I want it light and small is do I can hold with my teeth and go automatic for 5% of my usage.

If my best friend who built airplanes was still alive we would already be making a prototype ... for fun. :) He could make anything, had every imaginable tool and parts, as well as a CNC machine.

Your best bet is to find somebody like that, maybe somebody disabled who has a good shop, wants some extra bucks, and likes to "fiddle around" and tinker with stuff. Of course you'd have to pay a bit mroe than $300 for the "first" one but you could give FB while it was being made to your spec. Get somebody to draw it out for you first.

Mass produced, it will never happen, unless the FDA decides that everybody has to vape on tiny stuff....and that isn't going to happen IMHO :) However, if it does, you can sell the heck out of your prototype. :)

There are markets that might surprise you in the high end low volume world. $7,000.00 dollar Korth Revolvers. $2,500.00 dollar revolvers that were issue to the French Special forces.

There are very high dollar low volume items in many markets. There are Million dollar sports cars.

If this is doable I might commission one custom built for a couple of grand one day.

I just posted as you typed this. If someone does not eventually come close I might be willing to spend a couple of grand if this is doable as a one off custom job.

If I get it done as a one off custom job it will be the switch that is most of the money.

Building aircraft does not need to latest most expensive equipment unless you are going volume. The expense of certification is the biggest problem in general aviation. Sport aviation has relaxed rules but you don't need the latest in machine tools.

Great experimental aircraft are often done on 1950's era manual machines.

If I had the disposable income ...... My home would be full of custom "one of's" and aquariums wall to wall and a pond inside.

Why dont you write Provari with a blank check and ask them to make you one ? :)

I think someone will eventually make one without me doing that. The eroll was almost good enough but the there were three things I didn't like about it and the quality was not there.

The emini-duo might fix those three things I didn't like about the eroll but the quality might not be there.

If the emini-duo fixes the three things I didn't like about the eroll I might live with the low quality until someone decides to go high end.

If nothing fixes the problem I might go for a high dollar custom one off.

Well when you try the emini duo, please do put up a review of it by name. Looking forward to it!

It's not available in the USA yet. I have tried to get several European and Asian dealers to sell me one but they wont. It may or may not do what I want. I know the quality will not be what I want but if it does what I want I might just suck it up and deal with it.
