I stopped by a Radio Shack on my way home from playing golf err I mean on the way home from working today and picked up a Enercell AC adapter. The guy threw in the "N" adapter free. but then he said something weird. He said to be careful of the positive and negative polarity when plugging the "N" adapter. I said, "Huh?????" and he asked me what I was going to use the adapter for and I told him my Personal Vaporizer and he said, "Huh????" and I said my e-cigarette and he said, "Huh?????"

At that point I knew it was a lost cause and the store got busy so I paid and left.

So can anybody shed some light on why I need to be careful with the + & - polarity when using the "N" adapter?

Here's a decent explanation of what he's talking about, Polarity symbols - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Certain components will require a specific adapter but I don't think we need to worry about it, an atty is just a hot coil.

Polarity doesn't matter on the BB PT. It would matter a lot if there was a rechargeable battery in there...

My radio shack "threw in" the N tip also. LOL, actually the girl said "the first additional tip is free". I you go to the Radio Shack web site (it was out of stock and only available in stores when I looked back then) the Enercell is cheaper by... you guess it, the price of an extra tip :). The thing is that people who buy that in the store and don't need an additional tip are paying for it anyway.

Bah! My Radio Shack charged me 3x the cost for the N Tip after I said what I was using it for. Something about a FDA Tax... jk :p
