Got some good and some bad news. The good. First units are shipped to my vendor. The bad. Mine isn´t included in that batch. Then solovapor got a message where the Chinese say that the second batch will be shipped later this week. So fair enough, I am happy.

For those in the U.S.A., Volcano says they will know for sure by wensday but are still shooting for a Nov 15th.
Most likely now first the VV power orders will be served, and then will be volcanos turn. The Chinese are not diferent to others. You first send the money and then we will send the devices. First ordered, first served.
Volcano has enough capital to order one lot without doing a pre-order I am sure, they are one of the bigger companies with multiple kiosks and all that jazz. (really you think about it ordering these in lot size is not much more than the inferno's were when they first came out from china). More than likely the cosmetic changes they are supposedly asking for caused some delays.....but in the end, if they meet the Nov 15th date they will be within 10 or so of anyone else getting them so that is no real difference.
Volcano still speaks about the pre-order, at least as far as I know. On the other hand they also say it will be available from the 15th on. If you ask me, all this freaking mess coupled with the silly and impossible to check out blackmailing of voiding their warranty if one doesn't use their attys, cartos and so forth, does that really make you want to buy Volcano? Why exactly? Because they claim to be a friendly community that greets you "aloha" and because they're American (even though the device is actually Chinese)?

They just dont know what they are doing. Until now they rebranded 510 and other stuff, and nobody did care. Now they where leading for a short time, yes they where the first, a product from which nobody nows if it will be as good as we are wishing.
But if it is, this will change the market in a way. A 18650 based booster VV unit with volt indication, and all the protection circuitry in a tube shape for just around 35-50 bucks will force the market or to lower the prices for some simular products, or produce much more sofisticated products at higher prices.
Thats what volcano didn´t realise, this is not just one brand more, but might be changing a lot everything, so people got highly interested, and still are, and didn´t wait for volcano.
But if it is, this will change the market in a way. I think that Volcano is doing fine on this product, I am not a shill for that company but neither am I against there production line (the inferno is as good, but not better or worse than, all the other joye ego's out there)
What makes you think Volcano didn't order a a lot already? I have not seen that anywhere, I understand you have communications with people that I do not I would be interested to know what makes you say they have not preordered units.
Volcano was not "holding up" production of this device as far as I can tell, I see no email from any other supplier stating that, it looks like it was Chinese companies being Chinese companies and just releasing it when they felt like it was ready, no surprise there, look how many times Boge has missed goals or released too early with the Revolution.
I am glad Volcano didn't do an on site customer preorder 3 months back, I would be rather ...... if I preordered a device and had no idea when I was going to get it, and had given that company my money to sit on, If Volcano makes the Nov 15th deadline they have said they are shooting for there customers will be getting the mod around the same time as people who preordered 3 months ago in Spain. I am sure most of the product difference will be Aesthetic in nature, that is fine by me the specs on the Power VV are fine as they are.
I will be ordering for Volcano for two reasons though, better shipping costs for those of us in the states and faster shipping time and the one year warranty. If they miss that Nov 15th deadline I will look for another vendor (assuming other vendors actually have these by Nov 15th)

I hear you, Most if not all who have ordered the VV power are from Europe. In this we are diferent to US citizens. PE when we want a new car, we go to a dealer, order one and wait half a year patiently till we get it. You probably go to a show room, and a short time later you leave from there with your brand new car.
So we find it normal here, to order and pay for something and then wait a month or two to get it. But then we expect to get it at a better price then others who didn´t have to wait.
I dont have any contacts with Volcano people about their Lavatube. But ours are on their way, and volcano is not sure to have them at 11-15, so you tell me if they ordered and paid them already, and wait then untill the others get theirs first?
It looks more like volcano first started with this thinking in the Xmass sales, and then as you said, L-Rider didn´t want to wait so long and offered it to the rest of the world. That happenes if you dont play your cards well. IMHO.
