It's incredible, amazing, astonishing, tiresome, nerve-wrecking how this entire thing, just a bloody device, ends up feeling like some kind of uncommon odissey! So, now it's next week. And then the week afterwards. And in the end nobody will truly be happier just because they have a tube... Sheesh!

We better just wait and see. Didn´t mention it before, but an italian vendor this morning stated he will get them shipped this week. Cannt trust anybody at this stage.

Then I knew this was a pre-order, when even they didn´t know the color and shape to produce it. For myself I never believed it to come end september, but minimum a month later, what seemes to be pretty well the time it will be shipped. So I am satisfied with this. Others may think diferent and I respect this, but pre-orders just turn out like that very often.

Anyway, I am awaiting, other pre order, lol, some drip shields from your fellow Portugues, Rui which I need to protect my new VV powers, and then some DC atomizers and other stuff, to start with an all new equipment. lol.

Heads Up... in this other link http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/mods-discussion/233225-l-rider-lava-tube.html
a guy posted a link to a place in canada that says they have them. canvape .com the link takes you to a site knot the real canvape. I finally was able to get an email thing to work and the guy that emailed me bac says he does not sell them or know anything about the site and asked where I got his contact info. after emailing him the site he contacted their webhost and now the site is closed for repairs. something smells fishy or its a big mix up. but watchout. Al

Seems it was a big mix up, the site Canvape was not suppose to be up and live yet. They wrote me a nice letter explaing all this and apologized for the mix up . Here's the letter.

Hi Al,

I was forwarded your message by my hosting company that had someone contact them regarding an e-mail they received this morning. We do not have our L-Rider Lava Tubes yet. We do not have 1/2 of our stock for that matter and our site should not have been indexed by a search engine yet as we have not made it live. Hence why our url is inactive. We have had our web-designer ensure us that people will not be able to access the site anymore. We do follow ECF closely as you can imagine and are horrified that you have posted a warning about us, before we even open our doors. If you will convey this to the forum members we will be happy to send you our 1st lavatube at cost, and you can pay for it after we ship it to you. Keeping that in mind we HOPE to see the tubes in the next 2 weeks and may have them before we even open. If we do not have them before we open they will not be able to be purchased until we receive our stock. We will have 200 units if and when they ever come and also a killer deal on 808D-1 slider kits for our first week of business. We do not sell any juice at the moment any nicotine containing e-juice is banned for sale in Canada so we have decided not to carry any e-juice. When they do arrive the first 200 units will come in a kit with 18650 battery(s) and charger we are talking with L-Rider about getting tubes without the battery kits but we are apprehensive to send them any more money until we at least get our first shipment in because at this point we personally have had no proof of the existence of this product. They have been sitting on well over $10,000 of our money for sometime now. We will not be taking pre-orders or any money until stock is physically in our hands and confirmed to be a well made quality product. L-Rider is a large Chinese company that has been in business for several years with outstanding feedback from the businesses they deal with or else we would be peaking. So if you would like one let me know and as I said payment will be due upon you receiving the product and being happy with it otherwise you can send it back to us at our expense. Canada is a very lame place for vaping, upon our opening we will be the 2nd largest company here and with our pricing and selection number 1 wont take long, small fish in a very small pound :) The price that was mentioned on ECF is also not forsure we will have to see what duties/brokerage fee's and taxes we have had to pay once the tube kits arrive and the price may swing in either direction roughly $5-$10.

Thanks and sorry again for whatever happened/misunderstanding.

Tom - Canvape

Once our URL is transferred and our site is live I will be able to be reached at support@canvape.com

It's s shame that nic isn't allowed in Canada albeit I'm sure caffeine - that I enjoy as well, and why wouldn't I? Doctors these days even say it's good for one's health! - is (not to mention analogs). The shop seems for real and that's a good thing, yes. :) As for L-Rider, they seem to be having continuous problems with the amount of tubes they have to build...

The problems with the Chinese is that they dont have a proper market. They produce this stuff, and sell it to vendors all over the world, but no to the Chinese. In most cases they dont sell to consumers, only to vendors. So they dont have any first hand information about what is happening in the vapers market, the needs of the vapers, but only second hand through the vendors. That makes it dificult for them to know what could be selling well. Any vaper could have told them that a VV mod at around 30$ would sell like crazy, but they just didn´t know, if not they would have done this before.

I am not a vendor or a reseller. I got into a chat with a newer factory in china a couple of months ago. They agree they dont test their products in the real world.. So now we chat often they send me products to test and I review to just them. But rather than say nah does not work I give them idea's on how to improve. They make constant fine tuning till they have a good product. Not sure about other china factories but this one is more than willing to listen and think out side of the box that I am working with

I never was saying they are not willing to learn or listen. But they lack of contacts with the real vapors, and as you are stating are quite happy to find some they can trust, as they did with you. So not having enough feedback of this kind, makes it dificult to them to know what is going on at the ever moving vape market.

I agree with what you say. This factory I am testing with has made numerous changes to their products to make them better. They have also tried things that have not worked. The engineer and sales manager started there own company after working with one of the largest china factory.

It is limited at 2.5 amps. I dont beleive it will be that durable too. IMO it is a mid range device at entry level price tag.

High amperage comes at a cost in charge life, as this example shows.

Happy Vaper - Canadian Quality Electronic Cigarette/Personal Vaporizers and DIY Smoke Liquid
Notwithstanding, larger cell Li Ion batteries are indeed capable of meeting large load demands. In these instances, battery longevity between recharges becomes the deciding factor between the two. e.g. The AW 18650 2600mAh battery will outlast the IMR 18650 1600mAh battery:

IMR18650 1600mAh 10C :
(1.6*10) = 16A for 6min; whilst
AW 18650 2600mAh 2C
(2.6*2) = 5.2A for 30 min

Volcano (that is, if you want to buy from them) says they'll have them between early and mid-November. They say their tube has far greater features than other non-Volcano tubes. Do they mean the colour? I'm not certain what they mean. Do they mean it will cost more? It just might, can't say... Do they mean that their warranty is void if one uses non-Volcano attys, cartos, anything? Yes, they do, which is just plain ridiculous - how on earth will they prove one has used a Joye carto or something? But that's the answer, though: Volcano says soon.

From next week on they will be shipped to the US. So a week later US vendors should be listing them. I agree with Jorge that Volcano will sell his rebranded probably more expensive then others will do. But then they have other colors if that is important to you.

Any of these, will be produced by L-Rider anyway, and the inners most likely will be the same, talking about the body. Then some vendors will bundle them with diferent atys, cartos, bats or whatsoever.
